we were the last people on earth to get a color tv. My father refused. said sitting close to them caused cancer. I had friends who refused to watch tv at my house. pretty sure the first remote I had was when I bought my own tv.
never had cable either growing up. the good news was we had a big antenna on the roof that picked up all the NY stations -2,4,5,7,9,and 11. I got to watch all the Jet games and Flintstones and Bugs Bunny too.

did not work Bigmoe.....we did not have a rabbit but I tried moving the dogs ears...no one liked it not even the dog

wow! our first color tv , I'm pretty sure I was in highschool, probably around 1980. Never even knew Magilla was in color.
