i've heard the green you bleed is for the packers..
I believe that the Jets are headed in the right direction and its the first time in many years that I have felt this way.
I believe the Jets are a playoff team ... providing the QB doesn't screw it up.

I have no problem "believing" in our CS and FO -- so far they haven't given me any reason not to.
But ultimately it's hard to believe in a team with no QB -- it's just too important a position. Yes, Geno can step up. Yes, Fitz can have a Vinny-like resurgence. Yes, Petty can shoot up out of nowhere. But none of that has happened yet, and that's why I'm reserving my excitement until it does.
I plan on enjoying this season -- for the most part we should play quality ball. But unless one of the three options above occur, I'm most excited about how we're going to do EVERYTHING possible to land our franchise guy in 2016 . . .

I believe we are finally under a competent hc and gm that is for sure.
how the players react to him we will see.........i do believe some may be harboring resentment a little because they liked club rex but once we get rid of them or they change their tune i am excited to see what bowles can do.

i believe the jets will be a much better team this year than last. whether they can challenge for, let alone make the playoffs remains to be seen. i can't say i have a firm belief that geno can lead us to the playoffs, although i'm willing to give him a chance to prove me wrong. and while i liked bringing in fitz, i'm also not sure he's a QB who can lead a team on a deep playoff run.

And that is the conundrum do we take a chance on geno and get to 9-7 and prob just miss the playoffs
or do we go with fitzpatrick hope he stays healthy and can get us 10-6 but most likely a first round exit unless our defense is 2000 ravens like.
I believe Geno is better than the Az QB club from last year...I believe the Jets D can be just as good as that Az D...I believe Az O is better than Jets O in coaching but that can change if Chan can work his magic with a better group of offensive weapons...Az made the playoffs in a tough division and I think Jets can too

i think it will play out like bowles says it will.
geno will get the 1st crack. he will need to win and hold onto the job. this starts in camp and progresses throughout the season. if geno shows he can't get the job done, or fitz shows he's the better man for the job, they will make a change.
i don't think you can approach it like you say above, capping geno's "win" amount at a level just beneath the playoffs. heck, they won 8 games his rookie year with a lesser team around him. no reason to say that his upside is only 9. now this of course assumes he improves greatly from what we've seen the last 2 years, aided by much better personnel around him.
You certainly don't think Geno is better than Carson Palmer, and I'm not sure we have any reason to think he's better than Stanton, either (unless we're using the dreaded P-word).
You can say he's better than Lindley, but I'm not sure that's saying much . . .

I don't even think Fitzpatrick needs a resurgence. All he needs to do is play like he did last year until he got hurt. He gives you that kind of performance, the Jets will be fine.
