Does Bradway Get Fired?

Not to step on your revisionist history text but Mangini was the coach and a bad one at that.

The only two personnel/ scouting area decisions he was reported to be begging for was 1) getting the Jets to take Gholston who he loved and 2) in Cleveland accepting three scrap heap quality players in exchange for the overall fifth pick in the draft while failing there.

I guess you could add ruining Vernon Davis' career in SF to complete the Mangini trifecta

How did Mangini ruin Vernon Davis' career? Did he stomp on his toes really hard? Did he smash his hands with a hammer? Did he say really mean things to him? Oh, Mangini hurt him with his words? He effected him psychologically? so deeply that his career was ruined?

Is there any hope he can get into counseling so he can embark on a comeback?

Simply by being the same crappy coach of the SF tight ends as he was as head coach of the NYJ

Compare Davis this season.under Itsaprocess with.the prior seasons without him and get back to me.

The Jets have parted ways with Terry Bradway, their senior director of college scouting, and Jeff Bauer, their director of college scouting.
“Today, I informed Terry and Jeff that the organization will be moving forward without them," Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan said. "They have made valuable contributions to the New York Jets for more than a decade and we wish them both success in the future.”
Bradway just finished his 14th season with the New York Jets and his second as senior director of college scouting. Following the 2012 NFL Draft, he added the responsibility of overseeing all team efforts surrounding the draft, a role he also held from 2006-08. During that span he also oversaw the Jets' pro scouting operations.
For five seasons from 2001-05, Bradway served as the Jets' general manager and executive vice president. He was originally hired by owner Woody Johnson in 2001 after having worked for nine seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also a scout for six seasons with the Giants and spent three seasons as assistant director of player personnel for the USFL's Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars.
Bauer completed his 13th season as a scout with the Jets and his third as director of college scouting. Before joining the Jets, he coached scholastically for 11 years in Houston and in Overland Park, KS.

The difference I think is Idzik had to keep them in place when he arrived because he knew zilch about college personnel with the 2013 draft and almost as little connection to the NFL.scouting community. The mystery is really why he kept them after that draft

Macagnan OTOH knows everything to know about the draft class for 2015 and has hands on connection with everybody in the scouting and talent evaluation industry leaving him confident enough.to finally rid the Jets of the former GM who should have been fired a long time ago

Yes, I'm sure you're right ... but how? I want to know step by step as closely as possible how it happened? Generally what did Mangini say? What did he do? How did it affect Vernon? Was is psychological? How did Mangini's actions translate to Vernon's poor play on the field? Did poor Vernon know what was happening? Or did he just suddenly wake up one day during the season and say to himself "what's going on with my football skills, I suck".

Does Vernon Davis have a legal basis to charge Mangini with some sort of tort?

Could it be possible that Vernon Davis is solely responsible for his own poor play?

Sorry...no more time for discussion of Morongini...This thread is about Bradway and, did you hear, he got fired today...So did Bauer.

Really, Mangini hasn't been relevant to the Jets since early 2009

How about we stick to things that might actually matter to the NY Jets in 2015 and beyond

Blame everyone. Blame society. Vernon Davis hurt his lower back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And ankle!! Mangini??????

You're the one who brought up Mangini ... not me. I was just fascinated with the idea of a coach/consultant ruining a player. It's liberal nonsense. Blame your parents, teachers, boss, society ... .

Great SG! You capture news reports and funnel them to here. Every now and then you say something like: Player X was ruined by "Bad Coach Y"

Is it remotely possible for you to stay on topic?

I'm not sure. I'll give it my best effort. I tend to get off topic. Can you help me out a bit? Is it remotely possible for you to understand that it was you who brought up Mangini and Vernon Davis?

How bout those Rangers tonight? And the Icelanders smoking hot.
