not surprising. His ego was too big for this league. He decimated a roster that was full of weapons to what it is now.

It always has been. Why not dismantle a potential threat to your future job, and now is unlikely someone will step in and show him up with his former team.

He'll be going back to NCAA. No one is giving him control in the NFL. he still gets a huge contract, and great HS players will want to play for him

Definitely makes sense, but don't discount Mike Tanny's willingness to make a big splash. Tannehill might be an attractive QB for Kelly.

I just don't see him being an NFL guy. He is too tied to a system that does not work in this league. His style is very much a college one, and that is where he belongs.

I would say he will next appear at USC or with Tennessee Titans, Hoping for the Titans, so he decimates there roster .... a few guys on that team I would love to see in green & white !!!

he definitely didn't deserve to be the HC & GM, and was in way over his head on the dual role. but he was fairly successful his first 2 years as a head coach (10-6, 10-6), much to my surprise. i don't disagree that he's probably better off in college, but i can see him getting another shot in the pros if he's willing to accept being just a coach.

if he goes back to college, he probably would have been the perfect candidate for USC, but they elevated the interim coach to head coach.

My initial thought was there is no way Kelly returns as a HC in the NFL. Just didn't think any NFL owner was stupid enough to give him total control again, and that is what he wants.

The Titans might qualify. Ruston Webster's contract is expiring with almost a 3-1 losing record. Everyone knows that Kelly would love to work with Mariota. Strunk and Underwood have shown in the past to make some dumb decisions.

Yeah, I'll have to change my opinion. Think the Titans are the favorite right now to make that blunder.
