so long as he won't miss games over this, i'm just fine with it..
if this pumps up marshall to have an even better season than last year, sign me up.....

I like Marshall's confidence, but it's a tough bet.
That's how you set goals, push yourself to improve, not just replicate previous goals.
Brown is already the best receiver in football, how much more is this bet going to motivate him? Is he going to get 2500 yards?
It's Definitely in good fun. Probably had something to do with brown being Thompkins cousin.

For me this is like when Keyshawn was here. I could care less who mouths off, but you'd better back it up. Key always backed it up so I didn't mind. For me the Brandon bet is all about very competitive people and I will congratulate the winner.
bowles wanted him to get down to 230 (from the 245 he was in OTAs) & he reported at 225..
in flgreen's practice threads, it's been tweeted he's man handling CBs at the LOS, making plays up & down the field & bowles has already mentioned marshall looks quicker then last season..
if he's stays healthy, marshall's going to put "video game" for us again, IMO..
Not smart to make that bet open in public. Many teams will be now looking at Marshall & might even double him thinking Fitz will be trying to hit him twice as much as Decker. If thats what Marshall was doing to draw teams off of Decker to get him the ball more to win.....it might work.

In all honesty, i don't think this is a real bet, and strongly doubt if cars will change hands. The NFL, in the long past, has suspended players for betting things like a case of booze. Marshall's Porsche is worth like $160,000. The other car is a Rolls Royce. Think the NFL would be all over this if they thought there was any real bet.
I know they are insisting it is real, but I think they are probably friends who are funning with the media. The whole thing will probably be settled with an expensive dinner in the off season.

I doubt a single play gets altered on either side of tge balk because of this 'bet' whether it's real or not. If any player or coach on the Jets let this affect their decisions or play, I would hope they would be let go on the spot.

Disagreed. Chan Gailey n Fitz could care less about off the field wagers Marshall makes. Fitz will go to him whenever it is deemed necessary.

Speaking to ESPN's First Take, Brown called out Marshall for his Instagram video challenging Brown to a contest for the most yards, with the winner getting the opposition's car -- Brown's Steelers-inspired Rolls-Royce or Marshall's white Porsche.
Porsche is an official sponsor of the New York Jets, Marshall's team.
"First off, Brandon Marshall don't own a Porsche; that Porsche was actually a Jets car," Brown said. "Tell Brandon to call me when he's for real. Maybe he could buy my fans dinner every end of the day that starts with a Y."
There's a feeling these two won’t go quietly into the NFL night on this topic. Marshall finished 2015 with 1,502 yards compared to Brown’s 1,834.
