I'm sorry Jets faithful but this is just ridiculous, have you guys been paying attention to Dak Prescott with the Cowboys? This kid looks like a true franchise QB in the making. Worst thing about it is not only wasn't he drafted by the Jets but he was drafted in the 4th round (I believe). Behind Hackenburg! Now I don't want to make this into a Jets QB bashing thread and I mean any of them but DAMN! The Jets just never seem to have that kind of luck. Not only did the Cowboys luck out with Romo who wasn't drafted period but now Dak. Look at the Seahawks with Wilson or the Pats with Brady or the Rams with Warner way back.

The Jets just never seem to have this kind of luck. Now Fitz may turn out to have a decent or even better year. Petty looks like he may be ready for the #2 spot. Which means bye bye Geno. Also Hack may have the goods but we don't know yet. So the Jets may actually be ok with our QB situation. However; when you look at teams that lucked out like the Cowboys, Seattle and especially the Pats, are we really ok at QB? Guess only time will tell but damn, just to know the Jets passed up on Dak when we could of had him is frustrating. Just like when the Jets passed up on Marino but everyone know Marino had the goods and the Jets screwed that up also. Now I'm not comparing Dak to Marino but you guys get my point.

Everyone passed on Dak. Can't fault the front office. Too bad we didn't gamble on him buy remember it's only preseason. Do you remember Brett Ratliff? He was lighting it up for us in preseason but he was not very good. Granted, Brett did it against second and third stringers while Dak is doing it against all.

Hang in there. Our break will come

The Jets are due. But getting too critical because the Jets had Prescott rated as moderately as every other team just isn't fair.

This front office sometimes gets abused for being just like every other front office. I think some Jets fans are convinced the other 31 teams hit home runs on every single pick.

I will say this, back in one of the draft threads before the Draft, i wrote that the QB i would like to see the Jets draft this year is Dak Prescott. What'll get me absolutely nothin', just saying'. but Elias is right, it's preseason, no game planing and the like. Bryce Petty, to me, is starting to look pretty good for the Jets. Again, it's against the two's and three's so well's.

I don't know about this....... I really don't care about the Cowboys and Dak Prescott.

What I saw last night was Bryce Petty take a very important step forward. Am I ready to call him the next coming of Joe Montana? No. Not even close. But I do see a kid that is graduating up through the ranks. Who knows what could happen with more time? He's a got f*cking cannon for an arm and his long ball connection with Robbie Anderson last night was a thing of beauty. He threw it so effortlessly. I also think he solidified the backup job at this point.

And once again, who knows what he could be capable of as a starter?

Like I said when I started this thread, I didn't and don't want to make this into a Jets QB bashing thread or debate. Petty is coming along and who knows about Hack. Farve didn't start until year two if I'm correct. Rodgers waited three years. Brady waited a year I think, Romo didn't start until year 2-3 and Warner was picked up from the grocery store. Even Big Ben and Wilson started out slow their rookie year. Only the very few can do what Marino or Cam Newton did. So we may be ok but damn Dak looks good out there. Yeah it's only pre season I know but talent is talent and kid has ton of it.

He is impressive, but we are talking only 2 preseason games, let's not go nuts.

I wills this, at least the Jets haven't traded away HOF QB's.
Atlanta traded Brett Favre to Green Bay, Tampa Bay traded Steve young to the Niners.
We have that going for us.:global (20):

Dak also has best OL in NFL and one of the best WR's and a HOF TE. Those things open things up tremendously. Let's see what he does against a real defense that game plans. I really hate the Cowboys and I hate the fact that the Jets can never make the right pick. Then again Romo was I drafted and has won two playoff games.

Lol true. The Jets just can't seem to draft one beside Broadway Joe ofcourse. However I do believe if Chad would of stayed healthy, we would have been on to something great there. Not the greatest arm but he had everything else.
