I was saying all along with fitz and our defense we could very well be 3-1 during the bye and I haven't changed with geno we are prob 1-3 right now.

The absolute best that I had hoped for was 2-2,but was probably expecting a 1-3. Browns win was expected with a possible win against Miami, but was expecting defeats to Colts & Eagles!

Got to say I'm happily surprised. Before the season started I said I would be happy with 2-2 at this point.

With all the complaining about him, I actually like the way Fitz is playing. What did he make 4 1st downs today rushing.

Penalties are a concern, but the one thing I'm very concerned about is Special teams. Punt coverage sucks, punting sucks, and that missed field goal today could have easily cost the Jets the game.

Other then that, I'm good

Please with the team's progress. Of course they need to work on the penalties - way to many. The OL has been surprising good, Mr. I is sick, powell when in has been a very good complement and Mar and Dec well...NOw if we can get smith and fitz on the same page look out.

I was pissed about the fish getting the int when clearly he knocked down Smith... that was one of the worst non calls I have seen in years. Anyway, we have the makings of a good team and it really feels good to not have to worring about the team being prepared after a BYE... enjoy the week off after Tues pratice!

First off, the season goes so damn fast. Already 4 games done, SHIT! Second, impressed with the team overall. The Phila game was a huge egg dropper but no one in their right mind expected the Jets to go 16-0 anyway. So I guess that's one we let get away. Third, our team can be very good this year despite the penalties or Fitz ints issues. Gotta clean up both issues eventhough our team is deep and very talented. Fourth, our defense is a monster and can and will get better with Richardson coming back. Fifth, as most of us expected that the Jets would be a playoff quality team. Barring an implosion of injuries or just stupid play and coaching, this team can and will win 10-11 games no doubt.

Fish were 0-12 on third downs today. 0-4 on fourth downs.

That is nasty defense, people. Filthy!

The Jets are 3-1 and I am very happy about it. Todd bowles really has this team working and devoted. not that I think he's perfect, far from it. His challenges suck and the jets have been notoriously slow starters on offense.

They're also slightly unhealthy right now. The bye is coming at the right time. When we come back, we have Dee Milliner and Sheldon coming back.

It's well within the realm of reality for the Jets to go 3-1 in their next 4. At the half way point, barring a major rash of injuries, we could be 6-2.

The defense couldn't be better, but I think everyone pretty much knew they would be.

I'm excited so far. I was expecting 1-3, but we've been very competitive. Now, shake off the injury bug and work on getting less flags and we may have a fun season to watch!

I'm pleased with the first quarter finish and see a 6-2 record half way. Penalties can and will get cleaned up. My biggest concern is the offense. The slow starts and the potential of teams slowing our run game. It's one thing to run when they don't stop it. Another when teams take away what you do best like NE. In a copycat league it concerns me much. We better have adjustments. In a few weeks everyone will be on to what we like doing and devise ways to contain.

Little did we know that the Colts have some serious warts, and the Eagles are struggling badly to find a rhythm. I even expected a dogfight against Miami. We spanked them.

I'm a little worried about the run defense. We've given up some big runs so far. But Richardson should make our d-line ridiculous from here on out. The rest of the D is solid. Our secondary is deeper than any I've seen in years on this team. The key to the offense is riding Ivory. When he runs like a madman, it opens up the passing game. We cannot be one dimensional by relying too much on Fitz. He's a complimentary player. But Marshall, Decker, and Ivory is enough to get it done. Our o-line has been better than I thought they'd be. Great pass protection.

Overall, I'm very happy with the team.

If I had to choose an offensive MVP it would be Brandon Marshall followed closely by Chris Ivory. On defense, this one is tough but probably Revis or Skrine.

Ivory is the MVP on offense so far. I'll bet Miami defenders are probably still sitting in ice tubs.

I'll go Skrine on D. He's covering, tackling, and blitzing like crazy. What a great under-the-radar signing.

Agree with most of what you said except for the concern of the Run defense.

Against the Browns- 3.7 yards per carry
Colts - 3.9
Eagles - 3.2
Fish 5.4 Dolphins only ran the ball 11 times. Jets didn't care about the run at that point.

I can deal with with that. The one thing I'm concerned about on the D, is the wheel route that both the Eagles and Fish used effectively. LB's, particularly Davis, have to do a better job on that.
