Dan Shaughnessy is a beacon in an otherwise deranged Boston media.

I think Brady sues the NFL, somehow gets a postponement to his case till after the season and then retires. That would suit me fine..
Mike, This case will be thrown out quickly by the Superior Court, the suspension will stand @ 4 games, and Brady's career will be "tarnished" the rest of his career & life.
Go Jets...Cyborg
So Brady and the NFLPA are filing a lawsuit. I cannot wait to see how it goes.
"We even contacted the phone company to see if there was any possible way we could retrieve any/all of the actual text messages from my old phone."
The only true statement in the whole thing
I'd like to see the courts delay the ruling, then rule against Brady in December, so he has to sit out the key games late in the season or in the postseason.
But I think it's possible his lawyers delay it until after the season, and he retires before it would take effect.
Maybe this has been mentioned already so excuse me if it has but can anyone explain to me why Leveon Bell's suspension can be dropped a game but Brady's couldn't? Don't get it twisted, I hate Brady as much as anyone that ain't a Pats fan or especially a Jets fan but fair is fair. In fact, I personally wished they suspended him for a full year but being that they didn't and it was only four games, if they can drop Bell's by one game, why couldn't they do it for Brady? What am I missing here? I mean Bell did commit a actually crime and Brady didn't!
So if this is all about the cheating aspects and how it makes the league look or the perception of it then I guess I get it. Still seems pretty foul because players committing crimes or belonging to hate groups (per your example) makes the league look just as bad. If not worse, really if you ask me! What's the old saying, "If you ain't cheaten, you ain't tryin" and nobody does better it then the Pats.I've seen some fans making this analogy, and it bothers me. The league is more responsible for competitive balance on the field than for actions off the field.
For example, if a player uses stick-um on the field, or belongs to some hate group off the field, the two offenses should be treated differently. One is a violation of league rules, the other violates the law.
Most of us would very much say that belonging to a hate group is more serious than the use of stick-um. However, when it comes to league suspensions, the guy who used stick-up should ABSOLUTELY get suspended for longer than the guy who belongs to some hate group.
It's a crude analogy, but the point is, what happens off the field is often more severe than what happens on the field, but it's up to the league to protect what happens on the field.

Although, all teams cheat or push the lines including our beloved Jets. Fair is fair is all I'm saying and our beloved Jets have to get better at cheating. Maybe then we can win some Lombardi trophies. Besides, does anyone here truly believe deflated footballs helped the Pats beat the Colts by 40 points? I damn sure don't! Colts just got their ass handed to them.
