Nah man, lets give someone else a chance to do the game thread next week.Hey Ham, please do the Honors?
This game was nuts. Glad we won, we were the better team today.
The Post is already starting the "Jets got a gift" horseshit because of Slaters brain fart. Get outta here. Fitz took the offense 80 yards in OT for the W. The Jets earned that victory. Our beat writers are going to be insufferable about that coin toss being the reason.
The Jets were the better team. And it's because they were playing for their lives. They came out ready to ball today. You take away that awful fumble by Fitzpatrick that handed them 7 on a silver platter, and this game was lopsided. That play would've been the end for us years ago. But they showed poise under pressure. Gronk wasn't stopped but he was largely contained. They couldn't run the football against our D. The defense really showed up today, and Kacy Rodgers deserves a lot of credit. Huge win for gang green.
Now go smack Rex next week.
That OT TD drive was a thing of beauty, with our season on the line.
EPIC DRIVE and no media dbag can tarnish it for me.
Here is where the Pats got it wrong. When you win the coin toss, you have multiple choices.
You can:
1. Receive
2. Kick
3. Choose an end
and to start the game:
4. Defer, and get first choice for the second half.
If a team chooses to receive or kick, the other team gets to choose which side to defend. If a team chooses the side, the other team gets to choose whether to receive or kick.
What Slater should have done is selected an end to defend. By selecting to kick, Slater gave the Jets both the ball and their choice of sides. The Patriots don't get to both choose to kick AND choose which side they defend.
