Practice means nothing.
Then why do they do it?
Practice means nothing.
heading into this season...were you worried about how Geno would perform in Marty's system...or was the hope for improvement tied to what he would do with Gailey?
I dont give a damn about his first two years...I wanted to see what he would do in a spread system with Gailey...so far it looked good.
Just like Troy Aikman, Drew Brees, and terry Bradshaw, all busts after 2 years heading into year 3...had to focus on the future, not the past.
Im not comparing Gneo to Fitz...I was excited to see Geno (and Amaro) in their natural system...the spread.
But to your point, it may not have helped. I mean, he didn't look better in practice or anything. truth is, Gailey's spread hasnt helped Petty a lick, so who's to say it would help geno? Geno must have still looked terrible in practice...just like Petty, right? And Fitzpatrick who knows the spread system like the back of his hand was far out performing Geno in practice, right? because he's so much better it showed...that happened, right?
I was going to hold off on posting this, and then I saw the tone in your comments here.
You do know it's OK to alter your position on someone when faced with new evidence. In fact, many see it as a sign of intellectual maturity.
Yet you lock on to an idea, and never deviate in the least from it. I'm not sure, but I think you are trying to preserve the illusion of you always being right. The problem is, nobody else shares that illusion. You're doing it solely for your own ego.
Geno has not even been close to the guy you said he would be, dating back to the old scout board. Yet rather than say that, you double down on him. Every time a report comes out about him looking good in practice (as it has for three seasons, just like it had before then about Sanchez), you latch onto it. Yet you ignore any negatives, whether in games, in practice, or off the field.
The loyalty you have is admirable. But is it loyalty to Geno, or loyalty to your own opinion?
Yeah whatever, think what you want but when your a 6th round pick and not making any real money and you got someone blantently avoiding you or disrespecting you that you see everyday, you going to feel a certain kind of way about it. It then becomes a point of F#ck the money dude, your blantently disrespecting me and now that's the issue. Your going to pay me my money or your going to get dealt with. Besides, I'm not 6'1" and 265 lbs, so I doubt I would of broke Geno's jaw and went to jail. Although, yeah I would have gotten cut an that ain't good I will admit. You'd risk going to jail and would be okay getting arrested over $600? "You understand why someone would do that."...and the fact you admit you'd punch someone in the face too over $600 and ruin your professional and personal life over $600 says more of you as a person than your take on the toipic...concerning...
It doesnt matter if I was there...if two people in front of you at a traffic light are arguing, and one of them gets out of the car and punches the other one in the face...i dont care what the people in the car say, I know which one is wrong. Common sense should prevail in this debate...
...but i should know better than to hear much common sense around here.

Are there not posts on this site that I said if Geno falls flat in the preseason Fitz should start week 1? Are you claiming I havent posted that?

No, you don't know. You are selectively citing some facts. What is the back story?
Did the guy who got punched actually do the punching to the other guy earlier at a bar? Or what if the guy who got punched just tried to lure the child of the puncher into his car?
The guy who punched the other is obviously guilty for throwing the punch. But you cannot determine the guilt or innocence of the other without knowing all the details.
To give goofy fans something to talk about.
We wont agree on physical violence then. Unless some harm had occurred to self, friends, or family...I dont condone violence. Im surprised so many people on this board think running around punching people in the face is cool if one can find rationale for it. Everyone was raised different, and maybe getting punched in the face was a regular part of your upbringing. Not mine so much.
Actually, I have never been on the giving or receiving end of a punch. But you should know that, since you seem to know everything about my upbringing.
And if you are not willing to go to any length to protect your child from an abductor, I'm glad I wasn't your son.
I think we already did, I'm just suggesting we sign and start JaMarcus Russell and make it official.
Just so you know, Geno is going to make a million plus this year with a locked in job this year and announced the starter. IK was fighting to keep his job so there is a difference. Once again, this isn't even about the money anymore its about the principles of disrespect. You and I both know you owe me money.Just to demonstrate how out of touch fans are...this poor soul that needed his $600 was going to make $529,670 this year.
I actually agree with Leberfeld.
" Dan Leberfeld @jetswhispers
Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan have nothing to do with Jets history. They just got here. They need to ignore the historians and forge ahead."
