well, it's hard to take posters seriously who one post says "I will lose respect for Bowles if he lets Geno back on the team." And very next post says, "I never said I'd lose respect for Bowles."
Pretty sure that is troll like behavior...and a poster with Tebow in the name is suspect to begin with...I wouldn't trust him as far as geno can currently spit...

I don't think he deserved it
However he was 100 % responsible for the childish locker room tango that ensued by 1. Irresponsibly not paying a debt he owed for a month and by 2. charging across the locker room to confront IK, stick his finger in the face and dare him to do something about it.
His conduct if ALL the dozens of eyewitness reports are true is quite unfit that of a starting QB in the NFL

He already said that Geno is not a lock to get back to starting. It's up to Fitz to fail.

I guess Geno could have been a pussy and walked out of the locker room when IK said "say it to my face." Im sure that would have won just as much respect in the locker room as getting punched in the face.
In the end, he probably should have just paid the $600...but a guy making $600k a year shouldn't be punching people in the face over $600, especially when the guy missed the flight due to a death in the family.
Id say IK is just as much of an asshole for wanting $600 when he knows the guy didnt make it because a family member died.

now i don't think geno will just get the starting job back by default. he may get it back when he returns if fitz isn't doing enough to hold on to the job.

I think a broken jaw is punishment enough for Geno. I don't think you need to tell someone that they messed up when they got their ass handed to them and got a broken jaw.

i thought i read it was a family friend. perhaps his brother's best friend. regardless of how he died, if someone close to him died, there shouldn't be an issue of attending a friend's funeral. geno did say he would reimburse IK, but obviously was negligent in getting it done, and from reports, acted childish about the matter
