Hopefully trueI know posting this is futile, because everyone on this board knows more about NFL Qbs than Jon Gruden...but I am sharing anyway...

Not everyone, just certain people who have a personal beef with Geno for whatever reason. Geno can win us a SB this year and they will still have something negative to say.I know posting this is futile, because everyone on this board knows more about NFL Qbs than Jon Gruden...but I am sharing anyway...

And if they run Smith out there again in 2015 and he drops us to 2-14 or less, one broken record will still be playing a positive tune about himNot everyone, just certain people who have a personal beef with Geno for whatever reason. That is a problem you idiot. That's the difference between you and I, I hold no personal bias against any player and if Geno flops this year I'm done with him. With you, Geno can be the MVP of the league and win us a SB and you still be bitching about whatever when it comes to him.And if they run Smith out there again in 2015 and he drops us to 2-14 or less, one broken record will still be playing a positive tune about him

Gruden says he'd be "surprised if the Jets pull the plug on Geno Smith." Believes Smith is showing progress as a QB. #nyj

“With 32 teams you aren’t going to have 32 franchise QBs. You can name five (franchise quarterbacks),10 if you want to stretch it " - Bowles
You know what, your 100% percent right and I'll even apologize. sg3, I do apologize for calling you an idiot. I shouldn't allow anyone to get to me like that, lol.Alright, 82, this is the last warning. You've been told by a number of people to cut it out. If you lack the discipline to do so, I'll help you. Don't call anyone an idiot. You're taking things way too personal. Unless you are Geno Smith himself, you shouldn't be offended by anyone voicing their dislike for him. Stop bringing up other posters in your responses. Stick to the topics and stop turning this thread into a junior high school yard drama.
If he keeps Geno, I'll have no faith in this new regime
I do think he'll be on the roster. He's cost effective and under control through 2016. At worst, he'd be a decent backup. As far as starting goes, Smith has an opportunity between now and camp(unless we somehow get Winston or Mariota) to earn his keep. Fitzpatrick won't be ready until july. If he doesn't show improvement, Fitzpatrick will take over come training camp. I believe the new regime will put the qb who performs the best out there week one regardless of his name.
