Here's my thing with Fitz that makes me wonder why do you guys feel so much he will be our saviour. He is a 10-11 year vet that has been bounced around on about 5 different teams (meaning cut or not resigned). He has had some good or decent years but awful ones also and whatever good he has done wasn't enough for his previous teams to keep him so why should we think he can bring us much better then Geno can now?
As far as Geno is concerned his upside is much greater then Fitz. He's a 24 yr old, 3rd year QB that has played with garbage coaching, management and horrible teams pretty much his first two years in the NFL. These are not excuses per say but facts with what he had in the Jets. Now the team is leaps and bounds better then before so there is no more excuses. If he can't make it happen now then he won't period.
Fitz has already shown us who he is and has done it for ten years now, Geno hasn't yet. If Geno flops this year then we'll know for sure and if he's successful we'll know he is much better then what he showed years one and two. As far as his stats are concerned, they actually did get better. Completion percentage, TD-INT ratio, fumbling and QBR.
Yes he didn't play a full year because of his performance in some games but from what we have to go off of, they did get better. We can debate what his stats would have looked like if he played the full year all we want but what for, none of us are God so we don't know. All we can go off is what we have in front of us and his stats did improve from year one to year two.
Did Tom House teach him a curve or a slider?
All of this is true. Geno is also better prepared than any rookie. He will have a real veteran backup that can help him with the offense. The OC runs an offense that seems to be made for Geno's skill set. He did improve last season with a horrible team. His INT's dropped. He really only had a few awful games, but the last 1/4 he was pretty good and with this new defense we will win a lot of games with 65.5% completion and 6/1 TD ratio. Lets hope this CS can build off that.

Yeah I know, with Fitz at the helm were going to the SB and will win it this year. Hell, we may even win about 3-4 in a row with the mighty mighty ten plus year 30 something year old wash out vet QB that has been bounced around the league like a cheap whore. Not even a high priced one but a real cheap whore. Oh yeah, we'll be way better off with the franchise proven QB Fitz then Geno. Lol and SMH!

And you think Geno can't do that? More importantly, you think Fitzgerald can do better? Warren Moon, Kurt Warner or Vinny like?
I personally don't care who wins as long as it is the best QB but if you ask my opinion who will win no way do I think Geno can beat out Fitz in a fair competition.
You know what, thats a answer I can respect. Honest but fair at least but I will say I disagree about Geno losing straight up to Fitzgerald. And I will admit it has become personal that I want Geno to beat Fitz out. Where as during the NFL season and even up to the Foles trade that fell through, I wanted him gone as much as anyone did.

Looks like there will actually be the first fair competion, probably 4 way, in more than a decade. May the best man win for a change without the obvious pre rigged awarding of the job beforehand as has been the franchise custom for a long period of time
I don't know if Geno can throw more than twice as many TDs than picks, no. Geno had a 1:1 ratio last year. Fitzpatrick (yes, his name is Fitzpatrick) had 17 TDs and 8 picks. He also had a completion percentage about 63%, and a passer rating 2 points lower than Brady's. Geno's was 20 points lower.
What exactly in Geno's career makes you think he can do that?
Oh, and Fitzpatrick had his best seasons with Gailey.
Who is Fitzgerald? I'm not familiar with him.
