Most teams draft to fill needs NOW! The Jets draft to fill the roster hoping that we can develop a player in 3 - 5 years.

Devito? Snacks? Leger? Allen?
It's easy to "develop your bench" when TB is behind center. I actually think the Jets have gotten decent production from players it wasn't expected from...

Wow!! Devito, Snacks, Leger, Allen!! That's your answer to the Jets developing players?? You've got to be kidding me!! Allen sucks, Devito was a bit above average and Snacks was a steal. We sure developed an awesome OL, QB, RB, WR, TE, LB's & secondary from developing our own players!! That's why we are picking 6th and have not sniffed a Superbowl in 46 yrs. By the way, your coaches develop players not your QB. My point being the good teams (GOOD TEAMS) develop players to move into starting positions when a player gets hurt or old while playing at a strong level. You think we would have an ILB, OLB, CB, OL to play at an elite level. Snacks is the only one. As much as you want to disagree our drafting in Rds 2-7 suck. Rd 1 is 50-50. (Ghost,Sanchez,Wilson,) are no bargains. Do we actually have 5 players picked in Rds 2-7 that are solid starters? I mean good players, not "Oh well, there okay"
