I think it should be noted that quite a few of Mac's late round picks (McGuire, etc.) and waiver pickups (Ealy, for example) have been quite productive. It's a very important encouraging sign.

Something else interesting to note - Jets are tied 8th in the league for strength of schedule with the giants. Bills are 5th, Miami 6th, Pats are 12th. Pretty good. My only concern right now is our PA/PF compared with those in our division. Bills are +18, Pats +1, we are -32 because of the first two games. Obviously the number is improving and as long as it does we can say statistically the team is improving.

I also love the fact that we're actually utilizing the TE. ASJ just turned 25 and looks like he's ready to be a major contributor.

I don't think it's a playoff team, but I think it is a young, exciting team with good chemistry that plays hard. Find the right franchise QB and you could have something for the long haul.

It's always better to insert a young QB into a team that has a good supporting cast. If this team wins 6-8 games with McCown as QB, you have to admit the supporting cast is pretty good.

And I think the fact that many of us really do not know what to expect is part of the allure? This team definitely has fight and they are definitely giving it their all right now. They're leaving it all out on the field and I am so happy to see that? As a fan you can't help but be impressed.

But the first sentence of yours is what I'd really love to see be wrong? Wouldn't it be fucking awesome to see this team go into NE and beat the Patsies? To surprise the competition all season long, so eventually all these idiots in the media have to start to back track and trip over their own words? Even if we didn't win the SB, that would be a huge amount of satisfaction. Just to see these assholes have to eat crow..........

This is why I've never seen the logic of starting a young top notch franchise QB prospect on an other wise talent devoid team? Going into the season, I thought Hack and Petty would be doomed playing with what looked like almost zero talent?

Right. I think I heard somewhere that he has never won 3 in a row. Quite interesting, with the Browns up next. I think I also saw the Browns are favored by 4 1/2. Apparently, the books don't think the Jets can win on the road, not even against an 0-4 team.
