Im sorry, Cy, but its hard for me to not address uneducated posts...like someone saying Chad Pennington won the same number of super bowls as Tom Brady...to me, what he said was just as uneducated...bet he didnt even know Charles Clay at 26 would already be the second best Jets TE of all time if he had the same accomplishments for the Jets as Miami.
I understand everyone doesnt live and breath football, he's obviously a casual fan, or he wouldnt say something so off the cuff...but sometimes I need to point out Chad Pennington hasnt won as many super bowls as Tom Brady...if that makes people mad, im sorry, thats how I feel about uneducated posts...sometimes it needs to be corrected.

Mostly about Harris' strengths and weaknesses. Pretty much on topic except for a) the first sudden derailment to glorify Rex paying 7 million a year with multiple guarantees for a JAG TE transformed by.magical skewed stats dust into the best TE in Jet history and then 2) re derailed into attacking some mysterious invisible poster for comparing Pennington to Brady????
No post in this thread that I could find made such a comparison or even mentioned those two QBS anywhere....

According to CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Harris has re-signed with the Jets on a three-year, $21.5 million contract on Friday, just three days before the start of free agency. Harris is guaranteed to make $15 million in the first two years.
Harris played all 16 games in 2014, totaling 124 tackles with 5 1/2 sacks and two forced fumbles. The middle linebacker missed a total of just five games in his playing career, amassing 884 tackles with 30 sacks and six interceptions.

Other than Brady had a bit livelier arm, Pennington was light years ahead of anything else Brady's ever offered on the field.
Smarter, more elusive, easily as accurate or more so on short and intermediate throws, (neither can hurl a ball deep that well) - what IS there to say Brady is a better QB than Pennington, other than the aforementioned HC, mostly better talent surrounding him, and WAAAAAYYY better protection throughout his career?

Well there's that tiny little difference between Brady having an NFL caliber arm and Pennington having a weak floater throwing one but, other than that, no difference at all

Hyatt, stop it. You're better than that. Pennington's jersey is the only one I own and I cannot begin to defend this chatter here.
Getting back on topic , ... I think the Harris signing was a good one, I also think we should be shopping for a few additional backup linebackers, .... we have very little depth there.
Well Pennington had some great down field bombs to moss and coles before his shoulder was shredded. Then he had to use short throws as a crutch, where he had the best completion% and accuracy scores in the nfl. Comeback player of the year twice, and ideal team leader.
Brady went a decade without a super bowl after they were caught cheating, and the year they win, they were caught cheating again!! He led the best offense in nfl history and couldn't win the sb against the Giants because they had 4 pass rushers, so there's that.
