Is it time to cut bait with Jeremy Kerley?

problem I see with Kerley all along is he doesn't win at the LOS. That also bleeds into blocking. Without good TEs, the Jets need that 3rd WR to have size inside. This is just looking like a round peg - square hole situation.

Gailey doesn't go from what's working, but that doesn't mean we can't have a change of pace from time to time if we need to make adjustments.

Kerley is different from the other receivers on the roster. he's a classic over the middle, under the coverage type of guy who can give fits to a D that is hell bent on stopping our two proto-typical WRs with Osuwa emerging as a 3rd proto-typical WR in that group of big, strong, and fast guys.

no, he didn't have a role in things yesterday, but I have a feeling that won't be the case for the whole season. Let's face it, when we line up in a 4 WR set, he's an afterthought covered by a LB. Good luck with that.

We won yesterday without having to make a ton of adjustments, but when Smith comes back and with Kerley, Gailey can change the way this offense looks in a moment's notice...

I say keep #11 , and we will see how personnel are supposed to be used.

I recall Cotch asking to be released. He dropped down on the depth chart with the addition of Holmes and B.E. Kerley is good for depth since we're playing the bigger receivers first. That helps the QB when he has taller targets to throw to.

Edwards was already gone, but we had signed Plaxico. Then we brought Derrick Mason in for a visit. The same day Mason came in for a visit, Cotch was given his release. We replaced Cotch with Derrick Mason. And a month into the season, we shipped out Mason.

Trade him to the Cowboys for whatever you can get.... With Dez being out the next 4-6 weeks I'm sure they can use a guy like Kereley

You never know -- sounds like the Cowboys were not happy with the guys they brought in for workouts.

Cut him for what player? There are a ton of factors that go into letting him go, none of which are worth it, at this time , IMO. If there is an injury, he will be slide right in. The Cowboys would love him right now , minus the salary

He's not elite by any means, but he's reliable and tough as nails. Injuries are going to happen, he's good for depth.
