Sack, I sent you something to take a look at.
True, but there is difference between thinking it and saying it. In my mind he didn't have the balls to say it while Rex was there, but now all of a sudden he's grown a pair and wants to call out a coaching staff that's no longer there? It just looks gutless and unnecessary to me. It also doesn't show the new coaching staff much in terms what kind of guy he is, if he's going to publicly embarrass the coaching staff that drafted him and tried to develop him, what kind of trust is the new coaching staff going give him? I just don't think it was a smart move on his part no matter how you spin it.
How do you know he didn't say it to the front office while Rex was there? Just because he didn't say it to the press doesn't mean he didn't say it.
read exact quotes above post..NOT A BIG DEAL
True, but I doubt it. Do you really think he went into Rex's office last season and said that stuff to his face? Honestly?
Not saying it is a big deal in the grand scheme of things, I just think it shows extremely poor judgment by the kid, and maybe a glimpse into his character.
So you have come back, have taken a worst case scenario with Amaro as a player, and are now making this out to be a bigger issue than it is.
Basically, you've come back here with the same attitude that got you the week break in the first place.
kind of weird to see so many posters bashing amaro for saying the exact same types of things about rex that many of the same posters would say here on this board. i guess it's ok for fans to be critical, but young players need to STFU???
Not sure what you could have been looking at last year that would give you this kind of confidence in a kid that could barley hold on to the ball last year. He should be serviceable TE if he can learn to catch the ball but expecting him to become a "premier TE" this year? I'd say you have a better chance of him becoming a "premier QB" like you originally stated.
Just to keep you informed, Amaro had the best year of any of the TE's drafted, and basically had the identical rookie #'s to Jimmy Graham. ( with Geno at QB)
what did amaro's "spouting" accomplish aside from bulletin board material??
you think bowles is impressed with a kid throwing his former coach under the bus??
i hope gailey drives the point home that amaro better have his head on a swivel against the bills under rex's watch..
Thanks for this. Rex held people accountable but at the same time there was no depth on his damn teams that would allow him to punish his players appropriately. He would hurt the team if he tried punishing certain players. These are grown men, you just need to talk to them and they will get the point. No need to do something in the face of the media just so you can show that you hold people accountable.
So how exactly do you get that I'm making it a bigger issue than it is when I say in my very post "Not saying it's big issue in the grand scheme of things.", then you follow up with saying I have poor reading comprehension skills? What exactly is your issue with my post other than I happen to be a fan of another team? Where did I insult, troll, or generally antagonize anyone? Better yet where exactly is my stance any different in form, function, or presentation than many Jets fans that have the similar view? I get it, you don't like a Pats fan having an opinion on anything to do with your team.
Just to keep you informed, Amaro had the best year of any of the TE's drafted, and basically had the identical rookie #'s to Jimmy Graham. ( with Geno at QB)
