Their mind will be focused on defeating the Jets to defend their coach's honor. Bulletin board material, it gives more motivation. This won't make them lose focus one bit.
Only person that this will probably unfocus is Amaro who can't deal with this bc he already has problems focusing and can't catch the damn ball.
The bills have been stacked for 4-5 years now with talent, probably the most talent in the division, but bad coaching and QB play has kept them mediocre...I don't see that changing anytime soon with Rex, Cassell, and EJ Manual, do you?
They've improved their offense drastically. I'd say defense will be equivalent to last year. Rex is a good motivator and I see him motivating his troops to play at their best again. The Bills' QB situation is awful but if the rest of the team can carry the QB then I see them possibly causing some damage. Rex did it with Sanchez, he can do it with Cassell who is better than Sanchez.

That's a bit of a stretch. I understand you like Rex, but thinking this will in any way deter Amaro from his focus seems like a huge stretch. It's also a bit of an insult to the new coaching staff to think they would allow something like this to disrupt a player's focus.

By that standard so should your motives, this entire argument here in this thread is nonsense, I stated a very simple opinion shared many Jets fans, nothing more, nothing less. Yet your intolerance to having a Pats fan voice their opinion in any way that negatively reflects on a Jets topic and you attack me, and try and paint me as a "Troll". I hope Gailey sets up a play for Amaro on the first red zone possession, it'd be nice to see him score multiple TDs and have Rex talk about that after the game

I hope so. give me Amaro on a LB all day...I used to cringe seeing David Harris and Pace vs NFL TEs...if that's rex's desire after trading Alonso, fine by me...when Amaro beats his LB, and his safeties are busy with Decker and Marshall or blitzing, Amaro is going to be dancing in the end zone and getting a penalty for unsportsmanlike when he points at Rex and grabs his crotch and tells him where to go.

His agenda is to be a moderator and wrong most of the time about the jets. I know this because if he wanted to be right about the Jets, he would just agree with me all of the time.
However, as a mod, dont you think its his job to watch for troll like behaviors? Maybe if you dropped the whoa is me because Im a Pats fan on the jets board act, he'd get off your case. People disagree between jets fans on here, you should expect the same jets fans to disagree with you when they cannot even agree amongst themselves. It has nothing to do with you being a pats fan.

Here's the thing, I have no problem with people disagreeing, as a Pat fan I expect it simply because of the rivalry. However what Sack is doing, no other Mod is, in fact it's some of the other Mods here who have defended me. The fact is no matter what I post his agenda is clear, he doesn't want any Pat fan here speaking their mind here unless it's 100% pro-Jet. That's really all that's going on here.
then take it up via PM. the rest of us want to discuss the jets, not the pats poster on the jets board
i never bought the bulletin board material crap. i didn't buy it when critics said rex's comments (as the jets coach) would give the opponent bulletin board material, and i don't buy it now with thinking the bills will use amaro's comments to fire them up. these are professional athletes that want to beat the other team. they don't need bulletin board material to get them fired up. it's all a fun sideshow, and imo, has zero impact on the actual games on the field.
I was responding to how these comments/rebuttal by Rex will deter the Bills from their focus. It won't. Same like you think these comments will not deter Amaro's focus.
I'm not insulting the new coaching staff in any way. The staff could only do so much, the rest is up to the player. I'm not sold on Amaro being anything better than a solid contributor on offense. Not sure how a staff could really help a player that has focusing issues. Can they? Amaro is a good player but something is off about him. He makes the difficult plays but loses concentration on the easy plays. Having said all that, Amaro is probably the best tight end we've had in god knows how long. I am not looking for an upgrade here.
And yes, I do like Rex. I think he's a good coach but it was time to move on. I hope he fails with the Bills but people here and everywhere put the blame solely on him for us being such a crappy team the last few years. Rex has shown that with a good team, he can have success. Give him the horses he needs and he can do something. I think the Bills are all in with him. The Jets the last few years were god awful personnel wise. When he had good players, he coached well.
Having said that, Rex needs to stay away from picking his players. He is responsible just as much as Tanny/Idzik for the Jets having awful players. He got rid of Cotchery for Derrick Mason, agreed on the Tebow trade, etc.
Fair enough but I do think that certain comments do inspire. Let's hope this will boil down to nothing.
Agreed...half the guys played together in one way or another in college, in all star games, at football camps, or know each other personally off the field. They want to beat the guy across from them regardless so they look good on tape so they get bigger contracts and/or keep their jobs. I think it has no impact on the outcome of games. Whoever executes better as a unit wins, regardless of the words that come out their mouths before, during, or after the games...

Defend yourself is fine one or two times but a hundred is not good, sometimes the best way to defend yourself is to say nothing.
