Belichick will suit up, take the field, run a single wing formation and they'll still f'n win.

I heard Pats are going to Zoo & get a Chimp to QB. Just goes to show that Brady isnt the great QB everyone thinks he is. All the back ups in past to present plays just as good as Brady. Its the system & passing to spots on WR's route running thats so important.

I just don't get this at all. A lot of knee jerk reactions to Garapollo and Brissett. The sample size is so unbelievably noncomparable, it's not even close. Brady's stats and accomplishments far, far outweigh anything either of these two have done. The system is successful, no doubt. And yes, it's helped Brady. But to say that Brady isn't one of the best QB's ever...

I'm sensing some serious Jet fan bias.

Of course it's Jets bias.

It has been soooo many years without a real shot at the division because of one team and, well you have a little hope because their QB is suspended for 4 games and then they win the first three easily enough. Remember the Peanuts comic strip? What would Charlie Brown say in such situations? Well it's just a long suffering fanbase going

Brady's stats have been great. But so has everyone who has been forced to pinch hit for him.

And I don't know if it's bias, because saying it's not Brady means it IS Belichick, which is worse for Jets fans to admit.

I have no problem admitting that the team I despise more than any other is damn good at what they do. I cannot stand that team, that coach, those players. And despite the cheating and corruption surrounding the franchise, I will give credit to BB for being a great football mind, who can scheme like no other. He takes nobody's and turns them into productive players. So to this end, I'm in agreement (even with Hyatt!).

I'm just disagreeing with the opinion that Brady is "JAG". That belief has been uttered here by a handful of posters, and it's just incredibly ridiculous to me. Average QB's don't put up #'s like that. Brady has been a huge part of their success. You're taking a giant leap in saying Garapollo and/or Brissett would've done the exact same thing based on the system they're in. I need to see a young QB play in more than one or two games to be convinced that they're legitimate.

I'm with you on this and I hate Brady like cats hate water, or criminals hate jail or deers hate lions. You get my point! Brady is a shit bag but he's one of the best shit bag QBs to ever do it. The system is the system and has helped him but he is the final straw and what takes that team over the top. Ex and IMOO maybe but with Garr for a full season this year they maybe win 10-12 games but lose somewhere in the playoffs. With Brissett they win 9-11 games maybe and lose in the playoffs. With Brady they are a SB contender and will probably win it this year. This is what makes Brady one of the best ever and a first ballot HOFer. Hate to say it but it's true.

Every quarterback who has ever played in the NFL would be a winner with good numbers under Belichick's coaching. Well, except for maybe Geno Smith and Ed Chlebeck.

a much better example (IMO) of brady being an all world "system QB" was matt cassel going 11-5 in 2008.....

I agree with you that Brady is a great qb but I think its the management that has led to the succes that this team has had.

No other team builds around the core strengths of their quarterback like the Pats do. The entire team is built for the quick two steps throw. They have small shifty wide receivers. Brady is slow as hell but he is not asked to hold on to the ball for long or do anything he is not capable of. Most teams add players based on skill alone and then those players never fit the scheme of the team (Suh for example in Miami), Pats don't care about the overall talent, they just care if that person fits the team. Belishit knows how to build a team like no other.

I agree it's hard to argue Brady isn't a great QB but I think it's stuff like this that finally puts to bed Manning > Brady.

That system works. Belicheck is the most important piece. His system and finding players that fit his system is what wins them games alomg with discipline. It's not about the best players.

It's hard to run a system like that in the NFL because it needs time and owners don't have patience. Usually by the time coach starts getting the players that fit they get fired or one wrong move ruins it all.
