OK.... Once again we suck, are in the top 5, and there is no Franchise QB to take.. so here goes what I think we should do

RD 1 - Leonard Fournette RB
RD 2 - Cordrea Tankersley - CB
RD 3 - Chad Wheeler - OT
Rd 4 - Kendell Beckwith - ILB (If we get the comp pick)
Rd 5 - Johnathon Ford - FS
Rd 6 - Gerald Everett - TE
RD 7 - Jonah Pirsig - OT

Free Agents to sign

QB - Nick Foles - Let the Kids compete with a competent Veteran or Mike Glennon and let the best prospect win
OT - Reily Reiff
CB - Stephon Gillmore

Cut - 36.6 Million Saved
Clady
Henderson
Harris
Revis
Mangold - This is tough but we can't restructure 2 old and maybe we can resign him at half the cost.

We sign Mangold got 4.6 Million - 32 Million saved should get us the 3 guys in my FA signings with a lil room to spare

If we wind up in top 5, maybe someone is willing to trade up and trade ones this year and next. If aqb is available next year,we have two picks to go after him.

I think we go non qb stud in the first round. Ot, cb, or wr.

We cannot ignore the OL another year. I'm hoping we trade Richardson for a #2 and #4, then use 2 of our top 4 picks at OT and C. I thought about Fournette, but that is putting the cart before the horse with our OL. I would rather follow the Cowboy model and build a stout OL first. If we are top 5 in the draft, I would consider taking a stud LT, a sure-thing DB like Peppers, or rush OLB. I've read comments from some that Peppers could only play SS or even OLB in the pros, but others in the scouting community think he can play all 4 DB positions. Apparently he is an incredibly instinctive, athletic football player, and would be a great FS. I've read that some feel that he is a better prospect than J Ramsey, which is saying a lot. Bottom line for me though is the OL. We simply must get better and younger there.

Our offense is clearly and intentionally designed to operate despite our line. A clear handcuff that needs to be corrected.

I do agree this is why we are drafting an OT in the 3rd RD and signing Reily Reiff... Now maybe we use a 2nd Rd pick on an OT but we I think we clearly need to get a CB over OL there. I do think the value of Qvale and Ijalana is being under assessed. I think they have proven to be good starters at RT and Ijalana showing he can handle LT in spot situations... So grabbing a an OT with big upside in the 3rd such as Wheeler and Reiff. I think clearly gives us the depth we need and G position with Carpenter and Winters is very good.. Not sure what we have in depth with Dozier and Shell since they haven't played.....

I think we will be fine if we can upgrade LT... Reiff or Wheeler can do that and add great depth

I don't want upside on either line, I want bullies that throw their opponents on their buts.

I agree with this, hence the gimmicky 5 wide - empty backfield sets. Our short yardage and red zone effectiveness is non-existent because we can't consistently run the ball, Forte and Powell's good work notwithstanding.

90%short passes because we don't have time for plays to develop. Even pettys bomb was a quick lollipop throw to an area. The kid had to wrestle the ball from the defender.

Wheeler is a bully but he is a draft pick so that's why upside... I don't see anyone worth a first or second rd pick... Not a great draft for OL.... And Reiff already is a very OL... Only other person I see in Free Agency that would be a great fit and depending on Scheme might be better than Reiff is Ryan Schraeder from the Falcons

He may cost the most but I like that kid too... Just feel with cap space and scheme Reiff is the right fit for us
We will clear a lot of space, we aren't trading picks unless it involves a big name qb. So we will continue to build through the draft, supplement in free agency. For the difference of a couple million, you sign the best talent at a younger age,you can. In my head at least.

We gotta fill holes at
OL
CB
ILB
OLB

We need a RB for the future and this is the draft to get it... If we can draft Founette and do all that and Ryan Schreader is the guy we sign at OT then I will be a happy Man

Agree... when walt michaels team was very good its because they drafted Ward and Powell in the same draft. WE need the same dam mind set... The take a cover corner if there is one available and for god sake a ruching OLB
