Not the way we have used 2nd Rd picks in the past.
Allen’s stock was rising after team’s watched his combine performance. His deep ball accuracy had teams salivating. Rapoport was saying the other day that there are teams who view him as the best QB in this draft.
No guts, no glory. I’m tired of sitting back and waiting for shit to happen. We gave up a lot to get to 3, and need to risk it on a QB of this potential.

I wonder if tracking up was what he wanted to do all along? I’m not so sure signing both bridgewater and McCown makes sense. One of them will suffice.
With Bowles I don’t see the rookie playing year one unless woody gets involved.

If I were running the #Jets I would now start Teddy Bridgewater this season. If he plays good enough you are going to get a 3rd compensatory back and you may be able to tag and trade for more. Zero reason to start McCown now
No. We signed a kicker. He'll draft a returner, you know, some receiver that can't catch but likes to run. I was just joking anyway, but who knows what position they traded all our picks away to get. They had better get a franchise quarter back or else start sending out their resumes.

It makes sense to start Bridgewater. You have to see where he’s at.
McCown is an insurance policy so the season doesn’t fall completely apart. IMO
Unless Bridgewater sucks during training camp I think this would be the smart way to go. We have to take into account that even though he's not a rookie he still has to learn this system and get in plenty of reps to get back in the swing of things.
I'm glad the Jets will get a top QB; however, who really knows how it all turns out in the long run. I've read a lot of arguments but luck is always a factor. The bottom line is we have a chance to get a potential FQB. I saw Allen throw at the combine and he looked terrific. No accuracy problems that were noticeable. I've seen Baker Mayfield play recently and he looked terrific with all his enthusiasm and very quick release. Darnold is like a Big Ben type with a tendency to lose the ball on occasion . Rosen has had 3 concussions and an ACL injury. Then there are quick decision making factors, reading defenses etc. It is complicated at best to predict who will be there in 10 years. My pick would be Darnold because he is probably the best all around athlete and a quick learner. Second would be Mayfield because of his quick release and very accurate passing, Rosen is the best right now ready but will injuries be his future. I have Rosen and Allen tied as far as tradeoffs go but like I said who knows who is there in 10 years. I'll be happy come draft day with any of them. Good job Mac for a good off season and giving us hope for an upcoming season.

I guess I really have to start looking video on Josh Allen. I don't see how Rosen gets past Giants. I do know Allen has a cannon for an arm so playing in the NE weather won't be a problem. I watched him at combine and he looked very good in shorts.

I’m excited that we will have potential at QB again. Last time we had that was with Sanchez and things were exciting then. Let’s hope for them to get it right.
The Jets need to put it out there that they want Barkley. They need to make the Browns nervous and hope they act like the Browns and swap picks with Jets and give up what the Bears gave up last draft to move up one spot. Now that would be the only way I would call this a complete success. Or maybe they take Barkley #1 and then Darnold or Rosen fall to us which are both better than Allen IMO.
As long as they hate the Mayfield then I will continue to love the Jets.
