Mac was at this game (as the announcer eluded to on air). This kid has so much potential. Just his accuracy scares the SH!T out of me. Sort of like Hackenberg. Mac now knows sometimes it just doesnt click , ala Hackenberg.

yeah, it won't happen, but at this point I might be more excited about getting someone who will sack brady then I am about getting what might just be the 3rd qb drafted. A threat to sack would make this secondary that much better too

I could see the Browns taking Josh Allen, the Giants taking Barkley and the Jets get Darnold. That would be my dream draft and would laud Mac for getting it done.
Just don't see Cleveland taking Barkley after signing Hyde and passing on QB's the last two years. Can't see them passing on either Allen or Darnold.
Lastly, I'm warming up to a possible Allen to the Jets scenario. The kids got so much talent with his arm and legs and looks like he could handle the physicality the NFL will dish out. Not my first choice but now "maybe" my second. Biggest concern is can the Jets coach him up with his footwork and accuracy. He seems like a coachable player, Don't think he is a Hackenberg who every draft expert was saying was a late round flyer or un-draftable.
If the Browns pass on a QB at #1, they really are a dumb organization. I don’t see it happening. It’s gotta be about 80-90% they go Darnold. Outside chance they go Allen.
The great mystery here is the Giants. They have a huge impact on this draft. I really hope they love Barkley or Nelson, the two best players in this draft. I’d love Rosen, but if the Jets took Allen because Rosen was gone, I’d be good with it. I think Allen can become a great QB in this league with a little fine tuning. He could be in that Roethlisberger mold.
There is zero chance the Browns don't take Darnold. They have the best QB in this draft plus the best player in Barkley sitting right there. Giants are the wildcard.
I just had a crazy thought at 3:21am. What if the Jets are hoping Barkley drops to them? I know why would they trade up to 3 if they want Barkley, but they know Darnold is going 1st especially after his pro day. They could be thinking the Giants will take a QB. So they wanted to be in the best position to either take the QB they want if he is still there or they are flipping the script and taking Barkley since they knew they needed to be ahead of the Browns. If they traded 3 picks for Barkley the NFL world would have a field day with the Jets, but would the Cowboys or any team trade 3 picks for Zeke?? I bet they would knowing what he means to the team. The other side of this trade would be they got to 3 so that would force the Giants to take a QB or trade out of their pick and for the Bills to mortgage their future to get to #2 which would guarantee them the life long Jets fan, Saquan Barkley!!
I don't think this happens, but to be honest I would rather have Barkley than a project QB or Mayziel. I think Teddy B will rebound and get back to his previous form which could give us the FQB we have wanted and he is already a vet and still young. Just wanted to throw this out there. To expand on my post above. I doubt it happens, but unless they really want Darnold they can sit where they are and get either the 2nd/3rd QB, best OL, best pass rusher or best RB. All of them could change the franchise.

I was talking to a coworker of mine‘s today who is also a Jets fan and he feels the same way. He thinks the Jets specifically traded up to get Barkley. I personally would not have a problem with that at all because we don’t have a running back anywhere near Barkley and he is a true game changer and franchise RB. We’re talking and Elliot or Gurley or Bell type of back. So I personally wouldn’t have a problem with it but I do think that the Jets traded up to draft for a QB. I still do not believe the Giants are going to take a chance on passing on Barkley for anybody else to get him.
After yesterday's pro day I would probably agree with you, especially with the Browns owner attending. However, I will wait till after Allen's pro day today. He might wow them more than Darnold did. This draft is a moving target and other than the Browns and the Jets taking a QB at the 1st and 3rd selection there are multiple things that can happen..
Whatever Chicago traded to 49ers to move up one spot would be the minimum I would take. That’s why I said immediately after the trade that the Jets need to throw it out there that they want Barkley.

Cleveland knows the Jets are taking a QB. They’re going to call BS on Maccagnan if he calls them saying “we’re thinking about taking Barkley”. Cleveland can sit comfortably at 4 and know Saquon will land right in their laps.
Josh Rosen,.. another concern is concussions. We seen a LB off 49ers retire after 2 seasons due to concussions, so Rosen has a concussion issue in college and from a well off family & could very easily retire afte 2 years as a Jet. This would be a huge set back after what Jets have done to get their guy only to quit because of medical issues in 2 years. If Mikey doesnt take Rosen's concussions seriously along with fair weather QB could be one of the biggest Jets mistakes all time. I want my Jets to take the best QB with least risks and I dont know if Rosen fits that compared to the other top QB's.
I think the concussion thing is overblown. In this day and age, draft analysts are dissecting these guys all the way down to their underwear. Also, this notion that Rosen would give up football because his family has a lot of money? It seems like people are
really reaching now.
Eye ball test. Look at the film. This guy is as mechanically sound as they come. The ball comes out perfectly. Makes great reads. He just looks like a franchise QB.

He's taller than Russell by three inches and makes the same plays as him.
The Jets may surprise everyone and take the QB most of us, except a few (Ham included) did not expect and that is Baker Mayfield. Which ever one they choose, I'll be all in for.
