No, we think that if he is fit the Jets should evaluate him, the same as they would evaluate a QB from this year's draft. The Patriots evaluated Drake Maye and he is now the starter. If there was no chance of him becoming a starter then drafting him would be pointless. And moving on from Aaron Rodgers may entail one or two years of austerity to regain cap space, depending on what Moggy decides.

Rodgers is definitely a better option than Jordan Travis at the moment. I would argue he is not better than Tyrod Taylor. At best, I would say they are equal.

I would argue the SOJ mentality was chasing a QB at the end of his career. The regime didn't want the distraction or the headache. I know it's been 3 seasons since Rodgers got a team to playoffs so the chances of him taking this organization to anything significant was almost zero. I wish he would have worked out, but his season didn't lead to enough wins.

the best we can hope for is starting Tyrod And Travis learning and eventually coming in to start.

the only way for that to happen is by putting them behind a competent line which is just as hard to do as finding a FQB since you are looking for 5 starters and some quality backups rather than just one qb. And the Tom brady 25 year era taught a lot of teams the value of offensive line. Maybe not the jets though. We’ll see if it taught our new regime
