No, we think that if he is fit the Jets should evaluate him, the same as they would evaluate a QB from this year's draft. The Patriots evaluated Drake Maye and he is now the starter. If there was no chance of him becoming a starter then drafting him would be pointless. And moving on from Aaron Rodgers may entail one or two years of austerity to regain cap space, depending on what Moggy decides.

Rodgers is definitely a better option than Jordan Travis at the moment. I would argue he is not better than Tyrod Taylor. At best, I would say they are equal.

I would argue the SOJ mentality was chasing a QB at the end of his career. The regime didn't want the distraction or the headache. I know it's been 3 seasons since Rodgers got a team to playoffs so the chances of him taking this organization to anything significant was almost zero. I wish he would have worked out, but his season didn't lead to enough wins.
