another thing I saw from his highlights was receivers caught the ball in stride.

He won 3 Texas State titles where Drew Brees and Nick Foles attended. Set the school records for passing. He was pretty good two years ago at Clemson. He is a 4th round pick. No real pressure other than the typical Jets fans and media saying he is playing well at OTA's. Thats the kiss of death. We can all hope he turns into something.

Would anyone take a low cost flyer on Daniel Jones to be our QB2? I was thinking a 1 year deal around 5.5 million. Geno is playing for 3.3 million. so, we'd have 2 capable starters for under 10 million. No questions asked, fully guaranteed with only a pre-season injury clause if you sign immediately.

Good weaponry, solid OLine, competent starter to learn from + good coaching? what would our list of high QB picks look like under that scenario?Personally, I'd love to have seen Penny, Sammy, and even Sanchize given that opportunity instead of being asked to save the world. Although penny minus the OLine was in a similar spot. his physical limitations were, well, limiting. but it shows to go you that the formula works

Dreadful performance in the Snoopy Bowl. Both lines were handled like it was 2025 all over again. 3rd own D was atrocious. This just in.... Nick Folk doesn't miss. He Needed to be given a huge raise. and for the "do you want the good news or bad news segment?

Good News is Austan McNamara is a great punter.

At the end of the day, none of us know whether or not this kid is really ready to play or when he will be. None of us know how all of this pan out, but we all want the best for our team, the New York Jets. The preseason games show he isn't ready to start. He flashed potential against lesser competition but was still very inconsistent. I just watched the preseason games last night and this morning. I was not able to watch them or follow camp reports the past 6 weeks but I can imagine there were beat writers calling for him to be named starter before the first preseason snap. I remember reading how he surpassed geno and was taking all the first team reps prior to the first day of camp....
We have watched what happens when a QB who isn't ready gets thrown in too soon over and over.
I get the thinking of those who feel we need to see him play this season to see what he's got but the reality is The coaching staff and GM will see him every day in practice and know how he is developing.. Either way, the Jets need to draft a QB with the earliest first round pick and should get a number 2 to keep him on the sideline this season in my opinion. I would hate to see another young QB ruined that way.
