Pretty funny how we are interviewing him without his buddy Idzik leading it.

Don't really like they are interviewing HC's before GM's. Unless of course the next GM, or the next GM's father are doing the interview

Hard to tell how a DC/Oc is going to perform as a HC. Seattle's D has played well for hm. Seattle is really structured the way Rex wanted to structure the Jets. Ground and pound, and a strong D. Difference is they have a QB

I think they are doing the interview this way because it's the only time they can talk to him for some time. They can't hire him while the Hawks are still playing.

Only name that's come up that I'd be happy with, but that's just me. Come home to Morristown.
Consistently had top 10 defenses in college, and led Seattle to arguably the best Dee ever, compared to the 85 Bears.
But we also know what Buddy Ryan did as a head coach. It's all a gamble.

Woody really seemed to stress the importance of the GM/HC relationship.

I don't know the relationship between these guys but coming from the same team you would think they have some stuff in common.

How old is this guy 36-37?. This could really be an interesting thing developing here. Just read that the Jets have moved the Quinn interview up to Friday, so they can hopefully interview Kirchner on Saturday. Found some tweets about it. I'll post them in a bit.

Quinn interest seems serious (flying out to SEA), great candidate. Local guy, has coached here before, real solid resume out with Seahawks.

Getting a lot of 'Jets shouldn't hire HC w/ out GM in place.' Understandable but 2 things.
1) Ron Wolf is in these interviews with Woody...

FWIW, my HC predictions:

Falcons: McDaniels
49ers: Gase
Jets: Quinn
Raiders: Bowles

Bears complete wildcard. Rex obviously a possibility.

.the experience. Trestman had an extra pass from one of his staff members, gave it to Kirchner. Career took off from there after college.

...a Seattle coach with him as his guy. Comfortable setting. It's an entirely different situation. GM jobs don't pop up everyday.
