Maybe someone steps up and alleviates one or more of these concerns, but until then here are the TOP 5 issues we still need to address. If nobody steps up and surprises us this year at said positions, I'm sure we'll try to add depth during cutdown's and we do have a nice waiver claim position at #3, or maybe Douglas shocks with a trade or two for a player like LT Trent Williams who remains a holdout for the Redskins, but barring anything unforeseen of that nature, here's where 2020 free agency and the draft will be crucial.
1. O-line: I could say LT but that hardly covers it all. LT is always the #1 OL priority, but there are other OL positions we need to upgrade as well.
2. #1 WR: And by that I mean a real #1 WR, not a 2 or even a 1B, but the kind of WR who strikes the fear of God into DC's and DB's.
Note: I know some people may have CB or ER ahead of WR, but I'm starting with the two areas of need that can make Sam the best QB he can be.
3. ER: I don't mean a pretty good ER. I mean an elite ER. IMO that player makes the life of DB's easier, more than the reverse.
4. CB: I'm hopeful Trumaine stays healthy and has a bounce-back year, because I know how good he can be, but either way another CB is a top priority.
5. RB: If Bell is still Bell we obviously have an elite dual threat at the position, but I don't like the depth and if he goes down we're in big trouble.
Note: IMO you always need two starting caliber RB's in this league and throughout the Jets history they have rarely been without that 1B behind the 1A.
