Kaepernick to the Jets?

Marshall has already said he doesn't want Kap.

I'm with Brandon Marshall. Fitzpatrick isn't an elite QB, but he is very comfortable in Chan's offense and he's probably our best bet next season while Bryce gets another vital year of development. I'd love to see the Jets also use another 2nd or 3rd round pick on a QB if the value is there.

I don't quite know how to feel or answer this. If you were to tell me and it was the truth that we were getting the Kaep from 2-3 years ago, I would of said HELL YEAH. I think any sane and rational person would but if your telling me it's the Kaep from last year then I'll probably pass. I know we all don't want to admit or answer this question honestly for whatever reason but is Fitz really the answer? I don't think so. In fact, I feel 99.99 percent confident in saying he's not. Yes he had an very good to excellent year but can he repeat that? I believe if you give us the Kaep from 2-3 years ago with the offensive weapons we have and skies the limits. Problem and question is can Kaep be that QB from 2-3 years ago?

I assumed Kelly would want him, it definitely is concerning that he doesn't. But then again, he thought Bradford was the answer, so what does he know. Maybe we can trade Geno for Kap straight up. Or Geno PLUS a BIG bag of rocks.

AT the salary he is at he isn't coming here. Heck even if released the Salary he'll command on the open market is not something we will pay him. Unless we don't bring Fitz back and that isn't happening... Fitz will be back

A story broke Tuesday night that Colin Kaepernick wants to get out of San Francisco to play for the New York Jets. But it is just not true, per Dom Costentino of NJ.com.

The original story originated from Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News as an exclusive report, though nobody else has been able to confirm Mehta’s source. It did seem to come out of left field, and there are some serious holes in the argument that the Jets would be Kaepernick’s “preferred destination.”

Costentino’s source, who is “a person familiar with the situation” (likely someone in Kaepernick’s camp), says the report is not true: “No,” the person said. “Nothing. No idea where it came from. Random, strange article.”

As pointed out by Costentino and many others, the Jets and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick are both on the same page about wanting the veteran back as the starter in 2016, and there is nothing standing in the way of him re-signing with the team. He led a darn good offense last season and nearly got the Jets into the playoffs.

Bottom line with Kaepernick - jets have not and are not interested. Colin has wanted out for quite some time and this impending divorce...

Doesn't get much worse than that guy. Feel dirty sharing his story and rumor.
hey, even a broken clock is right twice a day..

law of averages says what's his face probably isn't lying ever time he writes/tweets.. so there is at least that.. :)

I agree with Sack on this one. If he's cut, then i wouldnt mind. The kid may be molded if the environment is right, as it was with Harbaugh.

Though, the signing would be a "prove it" contract. 2 year deal.

Either way, im not losing sleep over this. I would if Tanny was here and traded for him under his current contract.

Let them compete for the spot!

Honestly, I really like Fitz! No question he has EARNED a spot on this roster. But he is older and its a young mans game. That being said, Im not saying to replace him but keep options open.

I'm with you 1,000 percent. I'd say bring in Kap without trading for him. Wait till the 9ers hopefully release him and they should draft a QB in the later rounds. I believe if they felt Petty was ready to be the clear cut #2 or fight for the #1 spot then this Kap talk wouldn't even exist.

in this scenario do we carry 3, 4 or 5 QB's?? or is your plan to trade or cut both petty & smith??

BTW, this "talk" is methta "click baiting" for views, nothing more.. my opinion anyway..
