Latest Update on Mo Wilkerson: I don’t have anything to prove to “those people upstairs"

Just wanted to bump this thread.

Mo has proved that he needs to get paid. He shouldn't get JJ Watt money but he should get paid. Not sure if the team will get the deal done though. I see us franchising Mo this year and probably look to deal him for a number 1. We shall see. All I hope is that he isn't having a monster season because it's a contract year but instead it's because he has developed into a great player. 3 sacks yesterday. He looks much faster than in years past.

I think that (Mac) knows that Mo has to remain a Jet... Reworking Brick's Deal and cutting (Cro, Pace, Geno, Colon, Kerley) will help make it a reality...

I cannot see any scenario where the Jets refuse to pay Wilkerson. He's the best defensive lineman on the team and is having a monster season. You don't let players like this walk away. I'd keep Wilkerson even if it means letting Richardson eventually go.

And Snacks needs to be extended, too. Very underrated player.

Agree

Suspect the Jets will Franchise Mo this year, put Richardson on the block to see whatthe market is, and just see what develops.

I'd love to see Snacks back, but I think the market is going to be higher then we suspect.

Mo will get Franchised and sign a deal.... He isn't walking away for nothing.... Snacks gets paid as well... Richardson may be the odd man out... Just because of his off field issues..

TB has incorporated more of a 4-3 front this season, next season due to the talent he has available might make our defensive front more 4-3 and incorporate his entire game plan from that set.

I think some way shape or form all 4 will be back together next year with Deon Simon, and Leger Douzable as depth. Draft a hybrid DE/OLB along with Lorenzo Mauldin will give us a complete rotation.
