Lets talk Draft Trade options for the Jets...

What are we looking at for realistic trade options come draft time? There are tons of rumors and speculation of course but I would like to hear some thoughts and ideas from Jets fans.

Anyone have the draft trade value chart? I know this doesnt hold water as much as it use to but would still be helpful.

The Eagles are the hottest Team out there for the trade and it has everything to do with Mariota. I just dont see how they could trade up that far. What is Bradford's real value? I'm not buy he is worth a 1st. I dont want him anyway.

The most interesting to me is the Browns. They have two 1st this year (12 and 19). Is that enough to trade up? Would they need to send a 2nd or next years 1st? Anyone think Manziel could be packaged in? This is the trade I feel the Jets have the ability to do the most damage with and see return right away. At 12 and 19 we could still fill WR and OLB easily.

What else do you guys see as options?

I still think whether its us, the Eagles, Browns, or whoever trading up somewhere in top 3..Mariota wont make it to pick 6

If Mariota is gone by pick six and we are on clock..I could see trade down with a team in top 15-16...if Browns dont get mariota ..maybe they trade up for Cooper/White...maybe Atlanta trades up for a OLB/DE they want specific...there will prob be a few options...but to move down 3-5 spots I would think it would just cost a 3rd....which I would like since no 5th and 6th

Not sure how much interest will be if Mariotta is gone by 6. Just seems their are multiple similar talent on offense and defense. Why would a team want to trade up if they could stay put and get similar talent?

You are probably right. Mariota is the key to the entire draft, assuming Winston goes #1 .

Just heard that Jameis Winston will probably stay home in Alabama with his family during the NFL Draft. Not the norm for a top pick.

Most likely correct..unless Cooper and White available at 6 otherwise probably only trade options will be further down in first...

Maybe someone would move up for Cooper? If someone loves Gregory, Beasley or Fowler, they might want to move up.

If for some reason Williams dropped to 6, we might have some trade down options

If they want one of the 2 top WR, they may be willing to trade more then a #1 and #3 . Depends how desperate they are!

No way would I be on board for the Jets to do that. We have way too many holes that could be filled with those picks. Mariota is not Luck for gods sake!!

Agree, marriota is a mistake. of course I'm not in on pro days and such, but I would be happy drafting stud wr,d rusher, or o line in first round, followed by best available. Then when a real qb is available, make the trade necessary to get him.

I don't. I think the Jets stay exactly where they are and draft either Fowler or Gregory at OLB and move on. It's not often you get a chance to add a quality pass rusher to your arsenal with a top 6 pick.

So if we trade our #6 to the Browns for #12 /and #19 I see a few mocks having us taking Bud Dupree at #12 and DeVante Parker at #19 .

according to the below trade value chart, the #6 pick (1,600) is worth a lot less than the #12 (1,200) and #19 (875) combined. we'd have to throw back our 2nd rounder and then maybe they throw us a 4th.

unless cleveland is really desperate, a more likely trade would be the #12 (1,200) their 2nd round pick (470), and even then, we may need to give something back.

Great feedback. I thought it seemed like a lot too but you never know I guess. If its Mariota the Browns want then they just might pay a little more.

Well there are people on this board that felt we would get Foles, #20 , 2nd and next years 1st for our 6th. People are really unrealistic with what they think teams will give up.
