Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that it's a two-year deal worth up to $5 million. Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News noted Henderson's base salary is $3.1 million with bonuses and escalators possibly getting it to $5 million.

agreed.. nice to see a guy take back control of his life while he's still young enough to get a raise in the NFL..

this was a damn important signing for us especially with our cap situation..

i'm surprised by the lack of buzz over this thread to this point..

Excellent re-signing. He clearly is an upgrade over Demario Davis playing along Harris.

Now we just need Mauldin to take that next step.

Basically the Jets retained their starter (Henderson) and let his backup (Davis) walk.

The people who are reporting it the other way are wrong, Henderson was taking significantly more snaps down the stretch last year, so he basically replaced Davis as the starter last year when he got back to full speed.

We are stocked on d line. If the talent is there, we go olb/de in the first round. Playing a hybrid defense like bowls does, this allows us to change looks against the hurry up. If macc keeps up his drafting, we get a high end lb to pair with Mauldin, playing behind a seriously deep line, and in front of a pretty good secondary. Then o line in the second, and a depth lb spot later on. We have a potentially very good group this year, address or biggest weakness, and are moving to a younger squad next year.

Glad he resigned... was a key piece of the Jets’ special teams and began platooning with Davis toward the end of the season. He finished with 36 tackles and two forced fumbles.

BTW - he had 11 solo tackles in the last Bills game...when did Davis - if ever - have those numbers.
