Our receivers suck balls. Watching tonight’s Chief-Chargers game i saw Kelec, Hill, Keenan Allen and others all continually make great catches on not well placed passes. Our guys drop shit that’s well placed, and rarely make any catches to the caliber I saw tonight. No doubt Zach’s accuracy isn’t great….. but he doesn’t get a lot of help either catch wise or separation wise. Dunno…. Just a thought …

Wouldn't it be great to have a player like Kelce who can catch it over the middle and rumble for a touchdown? Seems an eon since the Jets had that sort of player.

i watch a ton of games throughout the weekends, and you hit on something i have mentioned a time or two; the drops and not making a play.

1.) at a certain point, a QB who experiences those things in abundance starts trying to "place" the ball instead of putting the ball on the receiver.

2.) same thing for when you haven't had one of your guys make a highlight reel catch all season. they haven't routinely come down with a pass on the back shoulder.

@Tinstar, that isn't saying Zach is without fault...not by a long shot. he is extremely culpable on many incompletions; notably the worm burners. But @Greentilldeath makes a valid point. on the play against PHIL on the deep pass to #8, where he had to high point the ball, it was in both hands.

the talent spread at receiver is far and wide between after Moore it drops off considerably that is why the team needs to draft a running mate to tandem with this upcoming draft... if you have at least two dynamic versatile wide outs that can play inside or out it opens the door to scheme against opponents with them in different lineups...

would say Corey Davis is an addition but after this season he seems like Jamison Crowder more of a subtraction...

the only way to improve the receivers to have at least two dynamic wide outs and one quality tight end to pair with at least two running backs will give the quarterback enough options to grow with then any others added can be experiments to take chances on...

Elijah Moore & Jahan Dotson or Jameson Williams would give the offense a dynamic duo...
Add in MC along with lets say Jerrion Ealy for now gives a tandem at RB, now you have literally 4 runners & 4 receivers...
Getting that guy that can block but athletic enough to be a receiver and stretch the seam opens the outside flats for the running backs and all the downfield routes for the receivers...

Have to think of building diversity and flexibility on offense...

Michael Carter is the unique style... There are three types of running backs: Power backs, Elusive backs and Receiving backs... It is rare that you can get a guy that is elusive, has good hands and runs with power... It would be nightmarish to draft a second one to have a stacked backfield...

IMO...what sets MC1 apart from all of our playmakers, including #8 for now, is MC1 fights to win each play. we have nice players who are competent players who have the ability to be dynamic, but i just do not see them fighting to win each play as if the game is on the line if they do not.

not saying the others aren't trying or giving 100%, but MC1 just has a different mindset...he is the gold standard for who we should be looking to bring in.

Zach has displayed accuracy issues true enough and he's got ALOT TO LEARN but I don't think Zach has ever even insinuated anything like this. Neither has any of the coaches, if I'm correct. Jets have to get better weapons true enough but Zach has to do his part also. We all can see that and no one is denying it! Even on the team!

other teams have receivers that make great catches, we don't. maybe because no one on the Jets believes.

Michael Jordan was the greatest. guys on his team were expected to contribute when Jordan called on them. those guys did. maybe cause they new that if they did they would win. pretty sure Steve Kerr has the highest career 3 pt. percentage

we need to win some games so that players believe. unfortunately, the nfl gives us a tough early schedule most of the time

No. Look at the sack rate for Wilson and compare it to White, Johnson, and Flacco. Compared to the other QB's, it's at least double for Wilson. Wilson is having problems that other QB's are not experiencing. The team can benefit from better receivers but it's not the receiving corps' fault for Wilson sucking.

Game is moving to fast for him, and the O line is not good enough to buy him some time (they were really god awful today), so that doesn't help either.

All in all, the O line is giving him enough time. Yes they looked lost today. But Wilson has been getting 2.4 seconds to throw. Look at what Tua was doing in 2 seconds.
