Mayfield aces the modernized version of Wonderlic

This. Everyone seems to go nuts over who has the strongest arm. For me the biggest asset is intelligence. I want a guy who is going to go into Foxboro and when they throw a scheme against him that they didn't prepare for our guy will not have the deer in the headlights look of Sanchez, Geno or Petty but instead will process what he is seeing and figure it out. Maybe not that game but the next game. Peyton Manning was never fooled by Belicheck's schemes not because he had a power arm but because he had a power mind. That is why my two guys are Rosen and Mayfield. And while it may be debatable if an inaccurate quarterback can become more accurate I think that it is not debatable that if you can not process what is in front of you, if you cannot "see the field" you can improve on that only to the same minimal extent that a weak armed quarterback can strengthen his arm. I am tired of taking fliers on strong armed quarterbacks that have no clue.

Rosen is my choice since he has never been tackled by a fat Arkansas cop, grabbed his crotch on camera, drilled an opponent in the head during warmups and the many more things that the media never heard about. Teddy B has never done that as well. Also let me point out he got ran down by a donut eating, hillbilly cop from behind. I can only imagine what DE's in the NFL will do to him.

That made me laugh.
I like Mayfield, but I will also celebrate if Rosen is the chosen one.

I like the Jets to take Rosen also but have a gut feeling either Buffalo or more likely Denver will trade into the Giants spot and take him. That will leave us Mayfield or the Combine/ProDay wonder Josh Allen. While I have warmed to taking Allen even though his college stats are atrocious I still would rather have Mayfield.

BTW - if the Giants really want Chubb trading to Denver's spot really makes sense as they will still get Chubb at 5 and get extra picks from Denver.

Mayfield scored a 25 and Josh Allen scored a 37. Jackson scored a 13. Ham, if I did the math correctly your original two picks for the Jets combined barely beat Allen with 38-37.

Conflicting reports. Not surprising you choose to believe the one that makes Mayfield look bad.

But in fairness, I choose to believe the one that makes him look good, but who really knows which one is true?

I don’t think they mean anything. Just wanted to point out Mayfield didn’t “ace” the useless Wonderlic.

Maybe the -12 vs Allen is why he got tackled by a fat, hillbilly cop from behind.

Nice try, but that was on the basic test.
But that was just the first test, and there were two administered.
Mayfield reportedly scored the second highest of all time in the follow-on test that specifically measures the types of intelligence needed to succeed as a pro quarterback. And THAT is the test the sbnation report was about.
What it means is, I might pay Allen to take a college final for me, but I'd pay Mayfield to play in the Super Bowl for me.

It was kind of joke to poke fun at Ham. No need to rehash what I don’t like about Mayziel.

It’s become fashionable to bash the Wonderlic, but if it’s really so insignificant, why are teams so intent on using it? I’m not advocating or opposing it. But it’s interesting that Allen was far and away the best QB at 37. Rosen was next at 29, Darnold 28, and Mayfield 25. (Aaron Rodgers was a 35, Brady was a 33)

Maybe Allen isn’t just a big dumb jock after all. That’s an impressive score.

One prospect actually scored in the top 100. 2nd highest for a QB , if it was actually Mayfield's score is unknown.Goldman and Bowman , who adminster and score the exam both refuse to name whose score it is.
As of now, only 2 teams actually subscribe to recieve the results of the AIQ. Interestingly enough, those teams are the Patriots and the Browns.....
edit: Given the leak didn't come from AIM( The company who adminster the test) it's possible that this was leaked by one of the 2 teams who received the scores, NE, who would put out misinformation just to try to influence the Jets decision, or the Browns who could be looking at Chubb, Barkley at 1 and wanting to throw the Jets off their preferred QB at 3 so they can land him at 4.
Too much false information this time of year to get emotional about any news report.
Maybe it's Mayfield's score, maybe it belongs to a late round prospect. Our old friend Fitzpatrick reportedly scored a perfect 50 on the wonderlic and what did he ever produce.....
