I would say in this order: whom ever is the best coverage and pass rushing LB (inside or outside) or the best OL or WR and last RB. Go QB in the later rounds because hopefully Petty has taken steps to atleast contend for the starting job. Now if Wentz falls to us and we know he won't but if he does, it's a no brainer take him.

I would not be surprised to see us drafting OL here , and in my view , Jason Spriggs could be that pick in order to release D'Brick and his contract. this is the perfect opportunity to get younger without diminishing our OL play.

After Lynch's pro day he may not fall to #20, but if he does I am convinced we should take him. After signing Fitz, which is a given once we clear the cap space, we can groom this kid as our future franchise QB.

How about Kentrell Brothers?

He doesn't look like a 1st round pick but it would sound like the Jets got more than one guy with the pick

BPA @ #51 - if Braxton Miller is there, do you take him? Guy is helluva football player and injects much needed athleticism in receiving corps and return game.
How about Nick Martin if by some strange stroke of luck he is available when we select in 2nd round.

I go Eli Apple. Great man corner, let him learn under Revis who walks the year after. Corner will be problem if we rely on what we have. Ogbah isn't much better than Mauldin, but Apple is much better than Willams.

Ok , now that we have Clady, I am changing my pick to go best player available , and that is IMHO , Reggie Ragland.

I think Marcus Williams is capable of holding down the fort as a #2 or #3. Besides, Bowles commented recently that Skrine is now the #2 CB. I don't view CB as a high need pick. Could we use another one via the draft? Sure, but Eli Apple isn't going to come in more ready than either Williams or Skrine, IMO.

I read Peter King's column the other day, and he said that he's talked to numerous scouts about players in this year's draft, and "more than a few" described Apple as one of the most overrated players in this draft.

I get it. I knew this one would go over like a lead balloon! No one at 20 is perfect. With our injury history at cb, in a pass happy league, I see cb as a big need. I know-- it sounds crazy to me too.

Apple--though not perfect-- I think, has a high ceiling as a man corner. From that list, he's my go.

Ragland would come next for me. Mauldin will continue to improve.

Ragland is a great prospect, but the Jets currently have Harris, Henderson, and Carter all on the roster covering 2 ILB positions. Ragland would turn that position into a traffic jam, with nobody really other than Mauldin at OLB. And I say that as a big proponent of BPA.

BDB...The key to this year's draft is to set this team up for the future. LB is one of the weakest links long term and Mac must find Harris's replacement. Harris can be cut next year and save the entire $6.5mm with no dead money. Next is OL that must be focused on. Clady is a good start and could pay off big. However, there is currently no backup plan for him. They must draft a tackle early and possibly often! Giacommini must go and the sooner the better. I'm just not convinced Qvale is the long term solution on the right side. As for corners, a future #1 corner is not on the roster and that should be addressed. All that said the draft should look like this (after the Mo trade)...

#1 - Reggie Ragland, MLB

#2 - Jason Spriggs, OT
#2 - Kamalei Correa, OLB

#3 - Will Redmond, CB

#4 - Evan Boehm, C
#4 - Jonathan Williams, RB

If these guys pan out, you have replacements of many of the higher priced older guys.
