We need to get some cap space..... If we can at all possible we need to make these things happen

Mo's Contract

4yrs 58 Million - 30 Million Guaranteed - Saves about 1.25 Million compared to the Franchise tag #

I don't see Mo getting more than 14.5 a year anywhere else.

Restructure
Revis (good Luck with that Mac) reduce the cap hit by4-5 Mill
Brick - Reduce the cap hit by 5 Mill
Skrines - reduce the cap hit by 2-3 Million
Mangold - reduce the cap hit by 2 million

Cut
Cumberland 1.9 Mill saved
Giacomini 4.375 Mill saved

These moves alone could create another 22Million or so in cap space...

no effing way we are restructuring Revis' contract because that would give him more guarantees passed 2017 season.

Nick Mangold under contract for 2 seasons $8.6 M & $9.075 M to open up cap space this year the Jets can roll his $8 M into a signing bonus leaving him with a base salary and cap charge of $600K.

This contract could be ideal to offer Brick, and by doing so affording him the same restructure of his already $5 M guaranteed and make it $8 M. 2 year deal for $17.675 M should be acceptable.

Another player that can be on the restructure plan is Brandon Marshall as his entire cap number is non-guaranteed. Taking some or most of his salary ($8 M) therefore reducing his cap number to $1.5 M.

These three moves alone would open up roughly $30 M more under the cap. Would afford us roughly $34 M under the cap currently allowing to make some other moves after franchising Muhammad Wilkerson.

Of course roster cuts, and trades are yet to happen and we could be entitled a little more breathing room but not much, so some restructuring will and have to take place for us to not lose anyone especially Damon Harrison...

No way Mo will sign that deal he is looking upwards $13 - $14 M annual base salary.

they will be receiving their pay in a signing bonus (and Brick did this two years in a row to free up cap space for us)

this is the only way to open up cap space other than releasing them all.
