No point in putting Petty in. With the way this team is playing it will stunt his growth.

Jets get within one score, and Fitz throws the only two picks he chucks all day. Can he pick his spots, or what?
I admire his guts, but I would have expected a more cerebral QB from a Harvard guy.

And what? Put him in a little glass trophy case and look at him and then draft a high pick on a QB???
I like Fitz, he's a warrior, extremely professional and likable, pretty good player too when he's healthy, by no means do I put this collapse on him, but that said, HE IS NOT THE FUTURE and its time to find out if Bryce Petty is?
If its me, at 5-5 I'm giving the last six games to Petty so I can have a better of what we have and whether or not we need to make a play for a QB in the draft. If it turns out we have to draft another QB, we can re-sign and start Fitz or another FA veteran next year to buy the young guy some time, but I need know what we have in Petty and I can't get a good enough read in only a few games, so if its me, I'm making the move RIGHT NOW because this is a .500 team going nowhere fast.

Not sure it does anything but rush him and stunt his growth.
His cerebral got rung.
Too early.
And I don't mean in this season. I mean in his development. Rushing QBs gave us Sanchez, gave us Geno. Let's actually allow him to develop and get the system, so when he does go out there, he is 100% ready.
Done it his whole career.
