I'm going to church on Saturday to make a Novena for our team....

(A novena (from Latin: Novem, meaning Nine) is an act of religious pious devotion originating in ancient Christianity,[1] often consisting of private or public prayers repeated for nine successive days in belief of obtaining special intercessory graces.[2] Novenas are most often prayed by members of the Roman Catholic Church, as well as by communicants of the Anglican Church, Eastern Orthodox Church and Lutheran Church.[3] In addition, novenas have also been used in an ecumenical Christian context, such as those promulgated by Premier, in order to pray for Church renewal.[1]

The prayers are often derived from devotional prayer books, or consist of the recitation of the rosary (a "rosary novena"), or of short prayers through the day. Novena prayers are customarily printed in small booklets, and the novena is often dedicated to a specific angel, saint, a specific Marian title of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or it invokes one of the personages of the Holy Trinity.

Within the Roman Catholic discipline, novena prayers for public use must have an Imprimatur, Nihil Obstat, and Imprimi potest. These ecclesiastical sanctions are usually granted by a bishop or any ranking prelate for publication and approval.)

Making a Novena? Christ!

to the person who used the GMEN & the reference to 2010 playoff game...they (Gmen) only rushed 4 with delayed blitzes. We only rushed 3 and had 6 dbs. Coverage is the key! Stacking lanes is the key! you're only going to get coverage sacks against Brady.

that's not to say a few all out blitzes from a coverage formation to absolutely fry his bacon would hurt, but he's got to think he has to wait for routes to open before those blitzes can work.

The boy gets the ball out in 2 seconds unless you stack the lanes and have him hold the ball.
Dallas sacked him 5 times plus knocked him down 4 more times, all in the first half, the boy never lost a beat, kept ticking like a clock.
The Jets can beat him in New York, in Foxboro he is .822.
Call Goodell and have him suspended. Why do you think 90% of the league wanted him suspended, to get his bus fare?
I agree with coach, this win or loss doesn't mean much to the team.
The Novena is a good choice, want a win, pray.

If sacking worked, that would be fine, but the sack leaders are: Ben has been sacked 424 times in 11 years, Brady has been sacked 377 times in 15 years.
Ben's W/L is 118/58, Brady's W/L 186/55.
Sacking the boy doesn't buy you as much as you think. It's either a winning way or not.

That has never worked, this year he was sacked 5 times, hit a total of 9 times in the first half and it didn't slow him.
Maybe I've missed it, but I've never seen Brady in fear of his life on a football field. I hear he's moving around better in and outside the pocket and getting the ball out in 2 seconds.

You can only beat New England with coverage, turnovers, in New York, or have Brady suspended.

Well whatever happens, I'd still like to hit Tommy a bunch :)

OK lets get real the last 4 regular season games we played the pats were 1 win 30-27 and a 13-10 loss that was Geno's rookie year 2013.. And last years pathetic team had a 27-25 loss and a 17-16 loss.. I think most would agree this team is much more talented then the 2013-2014 Jets.. So if Bowles is the man we all think he is,I say he goes in to Foxboro and comes back with a win.:smiley-finger007:
This is the post everyone needs to know, even the Pats haters!!! Even with Geno and the depleted team we had all around, we still played the Pats tough the past four games. Yes the Pats and their fans should be very nervous because we have a real HC and GM who knows how to get a team prepared in all ways and ready to go each and every game day. Win or lose the Pats will be in a dog fight and don't our team will lose. J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!!!

Any oddsmaker will tell you its highly unlikely we come out of Foxboro with a win.
That same oddmaker back in April would say there's no way in Hell the Mets are going to even sniff the World Series. But a move here and a trade there and whadda-ya-know....
Oh wait a minute - The jets made a move here and a trade there, didn't they?

I don't know about anybody else but if I have to wear bell bottoms, smoke weed (grass), watch Batman re-runs and Woodstock and Listen to Sonny and Cher to bring back that New York Sports Success then I'm there.
Just win this Effin' Game!!

Wake me up when the Jets beat the Patsies. Until then, all this Jets praise is simply nonsense. In this league, you EARN what you get. The Jets haven't earned anything. They have beaten a bunch of losing teams. They need to beat at least one team with a winning record before they start getting legitimate praise.

The pats have beat up a bunch of crappy teams too. Let's just see how it plays out. Not everything can be so bad.... There's an in between.

To be fair to MJ, Bowles is probably saying something very similar to the boys all this week...that is if he is letting the players bask in their successes at all.

IMO, he knows this is a bigger game for the Jets than it is for the Pats even though I loved the line about a win doesn't make us, and a loss doesn't break us.

I just can't wait to see if the team is prepared for a bigger game.

I somewhat wish Bowles tells Richardson not to speak his opinion this week:

Sheldon Richardson guarantees a Jets win at Patriots

“This is going to be another win for us. We’ll let you all write the columns about validating wins and stuff like that. This is going to be another win in the win column if we got out there and execute and do what we’re supposed to do,” Richardson told Metro.

“We’re going to be up in the division, that’s how we’re going to look at it. We’re going to be the front-runners, that’s how we look at it.”

Sheldon Richardson guarantees a Jets win at Patriots

Jets vs. Patriots is the marquee game on this weekend's NFL slate

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – After Sunday’s game at the New England Patriots, Sheldon Richardson tells Metro New York that his New York Jets are going to be 5-1. No ifs. No ands. No buttfumbles.

After a preseason where the Jets were thought by most insiders to be improved but still would be decidedly mediocre, the team has rolled out to a 4-1 start. Brimming with confidence and what is arguably the best defense in the league, the Jets head into a divisional match-up in Foxboro that has huge implications in the AFC East and for the postseason.

The six-time defending AFC East champions are 5-0 but that doesn’t mean that Richardson thinks they’ll be getting their sixth win this weekend. Brash, bold and unapologetic, Richardson wasn’t afraid to state his opinion when asked if this game has the potential to validate the Jets rebuilding process.

Validation? He doesn’t care to talk about that. Instead he’s guaranteeing a Jets win. Oh, Joe Namath must be proud.

Richardson made his season debut last week after serving a four-game suspension handed down by the league. He recorded three tackles and half-a-sack in a win over the Washington Redskins.

He will be counted on heavily in this game to get in the backfield and pressure Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. His task might be made easier with the injuries that have hit the Patriots, in particular on the offensive line.

“We stack up well but they always find a way when they’re not stacked up well to find a way to win anyway,” Richardson said. “Them losing a left tackle, it doesn’t end up being another void because they pull out another win.”

That must have pleased Bowles to no end.

I just don't think Richardson gets it.
