So here is a trade. The Pats used a second rounder last year on Duke Dawson. He never plays a down, he's 23, and the Pats trade him and a 7th for Denver's 6th.
Why isn't there talk about how mediocre a drafter Belichick is? Or how this was a disastrous pick and the trade shows it?

He'll also get a pass because of his rings.
We have to wait 4 - 5 years till a new GM comes in and cuts bait on what the previous GM was reluctant to do.
My point is he is getting praised for cutting bait. The Jets would be bashed for it being a bad pick.

Eli McGuire getting cut.
Wow, he most have really stunk during this entire off season. To cut him for a 30-plus year old Powell who just returned from major neck injury and a 170 pound scat back is just disgusting. I just know he would have made the team and been the #3 but I guess not. SMDH!
Powell has been a good Jet. McGuire gets stuffed at the line too easily, and has been beaten out by Montgomery. Not to say that Powell is safe if Douglas likes a cut from elsewhere. This is where it gets really cruel, when you think you've dodged the Turk and then hear of a pickup at your position. But being able to cut talented guys is part of being a winning franchise.

agreed.. plus keeping powell on what i'm guessing/has to be a short money one year deal makes sense to me.. & he's always been solid to good against the blitz..

My opinion means nothing I know but I don’t like this at all. The kid just might be a late bloomer. Give him a chance. Throw him on the practice squad if you have to but don’t cut him this quick. Give him at least half of a season to catch on and then cut bait if it’s that bad.
We just cut Polite so maybe we now have a guy that will release players that can't cut it in the NFL.
