I've heard too many glowing comments from former teammates, players and coaches to worry about how he comes across behind a mic . . .

Hopefully you'll understand a "game manager" qb is exactly what's needed. - NOT some stupid gun-slinger type who "stretching the field" ... LOL. - With the "long bomb" there's ONLY ONE good outcome possible and about 20 things you hope the h*ll don't happen - it's a bad percentage play, period.

What i find interested in the Fitzpatrick bashing is that those individuals tend to focus (and cant wait on the negatives of the player). As opposed to harnessing the positives the old man did in order to win the game.
IMHO, the win trumps the interceptions the guy has made.

Had Geno been starting, no way in hell would be be sitting here at 3-1. More like 2-2. 1-3 or with all the mistakes the guy hasn't learned from , a possible 0-4.

We all know what we have in Fitzpatrick. A veteran QB who , placed in the current situation he's in can make the throws to win you the ball game. As in any vet who has a good run game, excellent WR and a dominant defense. Fitz will not cost you multiple games as Geno is so accustomed to doing. On the other hand, Fitz will maintain the lead and let the defense work, but also give them a breather in sustaining a drive that can last 5-6 minutes. Not a 3 and out...as we're accustomed yet again to Geno's performance. Geno's turn overs turn into points, Fitz's turn overs are like a punt on 3rd down.

Let's not get it twisted. Some here and all around of Jets nation want to see what Geno Smith has to offer and feel he might be a better option than what Fitz can bring. To those i state:
Check your selves in this institution and maybe, quite possibly you'll receive the memories of a player who plays wreckless, foolish and childish...and never gives us any chance to win.

This may help the Geno'apologists get a grip on how Fitz has made this team better.

Jets should trade for one of the few franchise QB's in the league.

That's Bowles post game speech. Happy they won but didn't let them forget about the penalties. His lack of intensity is a bit concerning

Yeah lets get a coach in here that is full of bluster and great in front of the camera.. Someone the media will just love. Some one thats all rah rah Mon-Sat....oohhhh waitt....

I'll take Bowles calm demeanor. I'd say Bowles is all business when coaching and the players not only love him but have that fear they should have for their head coach.....

It's looking like he can flat out coach... that's all I care about

I'm with you. It's not all about being loud. Just wondering if that personality will effect his motivating people. We don't know much about Bowles yet.

I love how beating the dolphins last year kept them out of the playoffs and this year gets their coach fired....

NFL's Ian Rapport is reporting Miami has fired Philbin

They should have fired him last year after the Jets loss. That was a totally uninspired team. The week leading up the the Jets game local media was reporting some of the players had cleaned out their lockers before the game. Thinking about tee times instead of tackles.

Personally, I hate to see him go.

The type of games we're successful in are playoff type games. The ability to run the ball while the defense keeps us in games is our recipe. That deep completion on our first play opened the run the rest of the game. We're the type of team that will stay in most games. Our nemesis is falling behind too far early. That requires asking Fitz to do too much. So buckle up and enjoy the ride. We'll win most of our games. Maybe Petty will be ready in a year or two.

Dion Bailey came in and had a solid game. He showed good athleticism and range on his pass defensed. Skrine is a force from the slot and Marcus Williams could become a top corner behind Revis and Cro.

Got to give the kid credit. He had 1 practice I think, and spend like 20 hours on airplanes over the last few days. Made a couple of big plays in crunch time.

Bowles gave credit to Macc for this. Said he's been waiting for him since camp.

I just heard on Sirius radio that some of the Flipper players stayed behind in London to do some site seeing with their wives & family. No wonder Miami is a dysfunctional team, I'd have their asses on the practice field monday morning.

Go Jets...Cyborg

It's a bye week for them too, I believe it was their day off also. I believe the cba mandates no more than 2 practices on your bye week.
