Only reason I have not started my own Islander thread is that I do not want to suffer the indignity of starting a thread and having nobody there other than me -- which seems likely. Instead I may just pop in here on occasion to talk hockey.

When I was in town last month, I caught a game at Barclays. It was a Thursday night and the place seemed to be at least half empty. Terrible that it came to this. They belong on Long Island. That is where their fans are. Its just too hard to get to Brooklyn on weekday nights from either Nassau or Suffolk. Only way I can see the move to Brooklyn succeeding is if they can establish a new fan base in Brooklyn, but that is going to take a while.

Ok ok , so we lost the 1st game of the west coast Canadian trip, which is not an easy travel. And top it off with a crazy 3rd period.
