that's a good thing! but when you see dudes like Vea or Suh, with another interior Hoss coming at the center of your line, i don't want 295 being the only thing between them and #2; no matter what he can squat.
if my core group of players 38 of 53 man roster is steadfast and keep improving on their potential then yes...
it is not sprint, it is a marathon and you have to progress in all areas but be mindful when you progress in one area another will falter so keeping things steady and balanced as the TEAM aspect grows they it is a win...
playoffs mean everything to fans...
potential and growth of the roster means everything to the organization...
so throwing Jameson Williams at me saying he is better than Dotson is not throwing shade at me?
so me saying we need to be mindful on the talent addressed and what type of talent the team should take is your point of view or reality?

yup, and if the Hawkeye is chosen to protect The Cougar, i am cheering for the Hawkeye!!
he played in offenses that suited his style...
WADR...one thing i haven't seen about Lindy is "takes plays off", "doesn't play past the whistle", ect. So, i don't think he needs a chip on the shoulder.
DWC is rightly pointing out that he has the same measurables as some greats, and is regarded as the best technician coming out of college in a long time at the position.
i concur...i am hopeful that we have a HC & GM dynamic that finally can have meaningful shelf life like the Steelers. continuity is something we have been missing.
what people or so called fans don't realize that Robert Saleh and his coaching staff came in with a plan and executed it without disparity meaning they didn't deviate their implemented plan to win those close games... They have an idea of what their team is going to be and want to evaluated this roster this year and then make the appropriate changes this off season via free agency and the draft...
Joe Douglas stated he is open to trade for a player that is not a free agent to improve said position willing to give up draft capitol to do so...
that is saying something that most people are oblivious to the meaning if there is someone they seek they are unafraid to pull the trigger... is there someone, not right now as they are in the review the roster phase... there are players that are under contract that could be dealt or cut...
there are a couple players that the coaching staff believe are playing football not because the love for the game but as a way to make good money and don't have desire to contribute to success of the team...
I already know one person who will call out one player just because of his dislike of said player...
Okay, lets have a truce here. We're going to get back to the Draft. We're taking Ikem at #4. #10 is still up in the air. The 2nd Rd. There's (WR Dotson, LB Harris, TE, RT) 4 good options depending what we do in FA.
I want Ikem because he fits the scheme...
From people in the scouting world including the almighty Todd McShay compared Ikem Ekwonu to AVT...
But AVT must not be that good of a prospect for us to double dip the next year to fortify our OL...
But if the draft falls a specific way the Jets might have to be inclined if a too good to pass up offer comes in for that #4 pick they have to consider it...
At 10 they can go many ways...
I know you don’t think Ekownu will last until 10 but I’m looking at this board and I can see him there . I think Cross and Neal and the two edge rushers will go before him . Probably so will a CB and the safety . The key will be who wants a QB and how far they are willing to move up to get one .
I am afraid the Giants will take him... with either 5 or 7 and go Karlaftis with the other pick
the other player that McShay mentioned just recently is the other guy I mentioned a couple months ago was Washington Huskies Jaxson Kirkland he mentioned him as well as comparable to AVT but not as polished second level blocker...
so if the Jets can solidify three key positions regardless of length (of contract) in free agency they could use the 4th on Ikem but I still believe a team is going to want to jump up for one of the two quarterbacks...
there is some talk now that Evan Neal could be the number one overall pick, not sure if it is smoke or not...
either way would make Houston happy as they want one of the two edges...
hearing Houston also would jump up one spot to get one of the two guys...

I don't like Evan Neal for us, just something off about his game that won't translate for us (JETS)...
I don't like Derek Stingley Jr. think his Me Attitude would be a problem after a couple years like another LSUTiger...
I am not against Kyle Hamilton, good character fits the defensive game plan and he is a NEED...

Depending where and what prospects fall out of the first round will determine which way they attack the NEED aspect this draft will have plenty of prospects on both sides of the ball to fill voids...
We can only speculate but Linebacker is an issue... Receiver could be in the design but Tight End is an issue...

That’s funny because I see them taking Cross and Linderbaum provided that they are content with their QB
Oh and I don’t like Neal either
the GM was content with Daniel Jones but he is no longer there
there was some people saying that Joe Judge wants his own QB and would be happy taking one in this draft...
hearing Matt Corral fits what the team wants and they have a good standing with Ole Miss QBs...
but yes the consensus with the other pick could be between Cross & Ikem...
look at their roster and Ikem translates to Will Hernandez game...
This is why I want to move down from 4 and pick up another 2nd rounder . That2nd round even though we haven’t had great luck there is pivotal in this draft .
