from inside the lions' den hearing how much they like few prospects all considered available at 10:

Trevor Penning, Offensive Tackle, Northern Iowa
Charles Cross, Offensive Tackle, Mississippi State

there is also some speculation about these guys
Tyler Smith, Offensive Tackle, Tulsa
Evan Neal, Offensive Tackle, Bama

For all those saying we have our two tackles then why the hell are we probing these four plus Ikem Ekwonu (projected as IOL/OG).

Jets met with George Karlaftis at the combine and his pro day but yet to invite him to a Pri30, nor Virtual Meeting. Nothing to say they are not interested but it does raise questions.

I truly believe there could be something to my belief that if the right offer comes along George Fant could be dealt, prior or during the draft. Two top tackles is curious, but five opens eyebrows. Or am I reading too much into it?

Even though I don’t want a Tackle at #4, it doesn’t mean I don’t think JD could take one. I’d be willing to bet he loves Ickey. He fits the JD mold: big, tough, great character. Ekwonu is undeniably a great prospect (especially as a run blocker) and I wouldn’t hate the pick, but this team has much bigger needs right now.

Unless there is a plan in place to move Becton or Fant, the pick is gonna make some serious waves with this fan base. Who’s sitting? If we pulled off a trade that involved Becton and a draft pick for a stud #1 WR like DK Metcalf or Deebo Samuel, I’d be more on board with taking Ekwonu or Neal at #4.

funny thing is they had inquiries about Andrew Stueber for Michigan's Pro Day would of thunk since he performed well he also would be high on their day 3 draft board. Could be a solid developmental option with future starter potential.

Columbia University All-Ivy League corner and kick returner Will Allen Jr. worked out privately for the New York Jets, according to a me source.

Allen's father, Will Allen, is a former New York Giants first-round draft pick.

Allen has run the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds with a 4.34 20-yard shuttle, a 10-7 broad jump and a 37 1/2 inch vertical.

4th round maybe if he is still there the Jets are said to be high on him but have a short list of 4th round RBs they like.

no, not at all. everyone thought that JD bought high on Fant when he gave him the FA Contract $30 million, but as it's playing out, JD bought low for the talent acquired.

IMO, JD has to move him now. nobody is saying a word about his age yet, just about the breakout year he had.
JD set this up for a nice return on investment.

IMO JD can wait till after the Draft to deal Fant when teams didn't get the OT they had hoped to get and are now willing to give up next years #1 for Fant.

that is not happening either you deal him before draft or by preseason they will extend him only two options right now. if the plan is to draft another lineman is to play center and no NOT Tyler Linderbaum unless he has six buffets with Daniel Faalele to get some ass weight. They are reported high on Zion Johnson, Cam Jurgens and Senior Bowl standout Cole Strange.

I posted my 3 round picks in the "if you were limited to" thread.
As for all those trades, I'd be ok with that because you've mentioned that many of the players the Jets like are projected to be mid first to mid third round picks.(see, I actually read your posts)
But if I had to give you names for all of those picks after your projected trades, I think my head would explode.
