Mathematically the teams I listed in the Wildcard Standings are all still alive.
Realistically its a three team race for two spots; Chiefs, Jets and Steelers, and all three are currently 8-5
One of these teams will be on the outside looking in, I just hope its not us.

Looking at the remaining schedule, I'm not all that hopeful
We have the tougher schedule with the Pats and the retarded Circus clown
The Steelers have one possible remaining loss and the Chefs have none
If the tiebreakers have us behind Pitt if we both end up 10-6 we might be the odd man out
Pathetic that a team will be out with 10 wins and one of the four losers in the AFC South gets in, but shit like that happens nearly every season

If we go 11-5 and don't make the playoffs it will be stupid, but it happens. I love the direction of this team and I have high hopes for next season with another draft and FA. The coaching staff is changing the culture. We have nobody to blame but ourselves for being in this position.
I hate the Cowboys and Pats more than ISIS and want those wins bad. I also want revenge on the Bills. Just hope for a slip up vs the Broncos by Steelers or a complete collapse by the Broncos if they lose to Steelers. Or maybe KC loses to the Raiders which could happen. KC has a good defense but overall is not that good. I've said this before I will worry about the scenarios if we get to 10-5. Carolina won their last 4 of regular season and now are 13-0 so the end of the season closing with six straight or 5 out of 6 is important for next year.

Another wildcard to watch is Johnny Manziel. He plays at Chiefs and gets Steelers as well. What if he decided our season??:global (31)::global (41):

Cincy is a wild card in this as well. They could easily drop the next 3 without their starter. AJ Maccarron is no Tom Brady fellas. If that were to occur and the STeelers win out, pitt would take the North and we'd slip right in at the 6th at 11-5.

Either the Bengals or Denver could end up 11-5 and we have tie breaker with Denver. Just get to 11-5.

Realistically I agree, but mathematically they had a chance to get to 6-7 and remain on life support. But like I said earlier, I'm listing the 6 win teams this week because they're mathematically alive, but realistically its a three team race.

So the NFC East is a big stinking pile of garbage, and one team goes to the playoffs at around 8-8. Additionally, a wild card team from the NFC will probably be in the 9-7 range.
The Jets could win out at 11-5 and be told "thanks for all your hard work, now go home".

I know that, but they are the ones that came out slow and under performed vs some very average opponents. We haven't made it to 11-5 and I'm not sure if they will. If they get there and don't make the playoffs then I will still be satisfied and proud of the direction. If they finish 9-7 then they just had an average season with some highs and lows. I just like having meaningful football again.
