Again there were other issues today, but the D failed in crunch time. Great defenses don’t give that up. That was embarrassing.
The o-line is a close 2nd for blame in this one. We need major improvement from them. BAM was getting smacked at the LOS for no gain or minimal gain all day long. Can’t win football games that way.
Same problems that have plagued us forever. Just now we have better players and coaches doing the same thing

I watch the trenches all game long, being a former Guard in high school for a few years. What I’m seeing is our line getting beaten badly most weeks. Defenders are in the backfield way too early. And the results are devastating for this offense. It’s not being talked about enough. It’s all just “oh Zach sucks, blah blah”.
No. Complimentary football depends on everyone doing their job. And our o-line is struggling badly. It’s killing us.
Media were saying we needed a major improvement this week, but it didn't happen and probably won't in the remaining games. To be fair, Brown is an old guy playing his last year with a torn rotator cuff, Herbig is off the practice squad, and Fant has been switched around between left and right tackle and injured. It's only Tomlinson and McGovern who have no alibi.
It’s the QB matchups that killed us. With White, they arent stacking the box, with Wilson, they are. We cant run with Wilson because teams are daring him to throw to win. With White, they don’t stack as much because he can burn them with well placed throws. Long story short, although Wilson was ok today, he simply does not possess the accuracy needed to play at this level. At some point, the offense needs to bail out the D, which really hasn’t happened this year. This game, with an accurate QB, shouldn’t have been close
Yeah well I guess I was watching a different game. Zach missed at least 5 completions, not to mention the 2 "look what I found receptions" that were made. His #'s are misleading. Anyone who watched the game objectively could see that. The Jets win this game going away with competent QB play. The Jets look like a playoff team with White. With Zach they look like the Same Ole Jets. Thats why Zach is not the answer. The Team has no confidence in Him. Just look at the difference in the Teams play. Its not even disputable.
What’s Mike White’s record as a starter?
He’s sucked ass? I’ll give you the missed throws and overall throwing percentage, but he threw for 317 with 2 TD’s and one INT. He also showed way better mobility and escaping trouble than Mike White. I’m not saying he’s “arrived” but the hyperbole with this player is off the charts.
I have to agree with this. I was at the game so didn’t have my opinions swayed by the announcers. He just wasn’t good today. Got very lucky a few times. The first touchdown to CJ especially. CJ was WIDE open before that pass was thrown. And Zach way underthrew it. He was lucky that CJ had the athletic ability to come back and take that from the defender. There were a few other passes that were the same. ZW got bailed out by his receivers on most of his big plays.
It's true that his performance was patchy. Michael Carter saved him from a pick six. But in the end he didn't lose the game. At the two minute warning the defense had the game in their hands. If Zach had rushed onto the field to tackle the guy he would probably have got suspended by the league.

Zach does not understand how to protect the ball. He does not understand the concept of throwing a receiver open and when not to take chances. From day one called him a hero ball quarterback and today proved the same, he will never grow as a signal caller. He has the ability to be an oft script thrower but in this offense as much as it is trickery it is a west coast based game plan. Joe Douglas is going to have to entertain trade offers for Zach and look to the draft while re-signing Mike White while fixing this offensive line. We know we have weapons at RB, WR, TE but omfg the QB and OL are pathetic. Defensively we have talent but the right rotation on the defensive line and talent at the safety position.
End of the day can not blame anyone but Zach for the atrocious quarterback play. Can not throw a swing, flat pass. this kid has the flick of the wrist for power and throws ducks to the feet of his receivers or over throws Berrios and E. Moore who are on the short end. Had to enjoy Garrett Wilson was like wtf are you kidding me.
Thursday game we better hope they give Streveler a chance because this shit show is tiresome we need to win all three games to sniff a chance at the playoffs. I hope Mike White gets cleared, because Wilson is not the guy. Swing and a miss. People on me that I am against specific quarterbacks but damn 5th round pick Mike White vs 3rd overall Sam Darnold. 3rd round pick Davis Mills vs 2nd overall pick Zach Wilson but forgive me for being a critical fuck, pipeline nowadays are not worth the world that some media put on them.
Draft a fucking guy that can give you the best chance to run your offense. Do not need the next GQ fucking face of the franchise.

It doesn't matter. It all falls on the defense for that blunder on the winning TD. They didn't make that one final stop, so they lost the game.
In fact, the offense unit should not even dress up in the future, and the defense needs to win games by themselves. We are placing too much emphasis on having an apt offense here for this team.
the one person that through his helmet was responsible for that Wright guy. I mean come on guys he had 1 catch for 51 yards. that is a wtf moment. He is known as a blocking tight end and he out ran our entire defense. Yeah ok...
