I's time to start saying Fuck Aaron Rodgers. Just another of the many Jet saviors who choked. After all the endless hype, the guy gets hurt on the fourth play. Classic SOJ moment. Also a big boot to the balls to the Jet medical/training staff who missed that Rodgers' calf problem during camp was more serious than they knew.
I can't dog him for an injury. Not having a viable backup plan is definitely SOJ, but Rodgers seems all in and is also throwing everything into his rehab to try to get back as soon as possible.
It's definitely not his fault, but we have an opportunity now to fix the gaping holes on the team before he returns.

I'm not killing him for getting hurt exactly. More like I believe he knew something was up. Looking at him operate the few times he was behind center in the offseason, something was off. Slower. Thinner. Then a "calf injury" which sidelines him for the preseason with not one snap in preseason games. Seemingly more lackadaisical. At least to me, he just didn't look like the same Aaron Rodgers. As I've said before, the Packers saw that his skill set was significantly diminished.
As far as his rehab and getting back to the team? I think bringing him back this year or next would be another Jet blunder. He's done. Thank the guy and move on. Keeping Rodgers just guarantees another lost season.
