Read elsewhere that he reinjured his broken leg. Is waived/injured, the only way he can go on ir? If so, maybe he comes back after short term ir.
Good Point, provided he clears waivers.

We won't know for 24 Hours, but if he goes unclaimed you're correct, we can stash him on IR and he's eligible to come off whenever he gets healthy. The difference with Milliner and Reilly, as I'm sure you know, is they were IR'd before 4PM today, thats why they are ineligible to return, but anyone IR'd now can return at any time.

I didnt know that, thanks for the info. That would be a good reason to wait a day to waive/injure him then.

Khiry Robinson definitely surprises me. I'd agree that it sounds like an injury issue.

Either way, I'm not sold on the running back situation.

i think we'll be fine because Forte and Powell are great runners. Only problem is that they are very similar. We need a bruiser back.

I agree, though I would say that in Gailey's system, it's more important to have guys who are receiving options out of the backfield than having tougher runners between the tackles.

do you think Forte and Powell will be able to get that tough yard when it's 3 and 1?

Don't sleep on Howsare as a short yardage specialist.

Im guessing that must be what they are thinking. He is a load at 250+. If he can play special teams, play fb here and there, and be that 2 to 3 yards and a cloud of dust guy, we may have found another gem. That would be a nice niche skillset to have on the team. I cant say ive seen him run the ball much so Im going to have to trust them that they thinkk he can do it.

He got a series or two at RB in the first or second preseason game and I remember being impressed with his burst and power, and thats a big boy, 6' 3"/255, he's bigger than most linebackers, as big as some DE's.

Which is far more important in Gailey's system than having a good traditional TE.

But if the Jets had a good, traditional kind of TE, (Chan Gailey has never really had one) Chan Gailey would use him to death. That's only common sense.

Bottom line is this team just has a huge deficiency not having a TE. It's a gaping hole for the Jets for many years now.........
