Yeah your right about that. That int, he actually missed a receiver open on single coverage running towards the end zone. Don’t know if he would have completed it or not but that was the throw he should have tried.
I agree... His command of these scrubs is very intriguing... imagine what he could do with the starters...
Trade him to Eagles for a 1st and 4th like they did to the Vikings for Bradford.
Leave it to the Jets to not be able to get a franchise QB for 50 years and now they have two. I hate to deal Teddy B, but we need draft picks.
We know he can play with starters and I don't think he's going to get a shot with the Jets because of the investment in Darnold

Actually from last week too this week it's his athleticism in the pocket
His reads downfield
His velocity on his throws
And his accuracy on those throws
and I can't believe he's in the 2 preseason game into the 4th with 3 min left

Teddy B out there killin then boys. Bridgewater is a beast and back to true form. He was on his way to becoming a true franchise QB two years ago and looks like he’s back. Yes the Jets finally have a excellent QB dilemma. Far from the BS we’ve been subjected to for the past decade or more. Haven’t had a significant QB situation since Vinny T and Chad. That one year with Farve was a nice one also. Now they have a very hard decision to make. Bridgewater is not going to make it easy on them at all and that’s the way it should be. He deserves to be a starter and still would be if he would have never hurt himself two years ago. The Jets have a very big decision to make within these next two to three weeks.

Bridgewater did exactly what the Jets needed him to do tonight. He looked pretty good, took hits, and played significant snaps. Unlike Darnold, it's not as important that he gets reps with the firsts. He just needs healthy, productive reps.
And Darnold has shown enough to be the opening day starter. Bridgewater has been better, but Darnold has a higher ceiling, and for as healthy as he has been, Bridgewater's knee is still scary.

If someone offers a 1st round pick we have to take it. Anything less and I wouldn't trade him yet.
Overall Darnold played well. Not as good as last week but it looked like they didn’t want him to do but so much in the first place. Very short passes on quick reads. He still has some development to do obviously. Great pose and pocket presence as usual. Some very nice throws but the int was a bad decision. What I liked a lot was even with the sacks he took his losses and protected the ball. None of that running back twenty yards just to get sacked anyway on top of it. Or getting sacked and fumbling or throwing that dreaded Hail Mary int just to avoid the sack. Redskins pressured him well or the oline just sucked for him.

Either trade him for a late first or early second. Maybe a couple of second round picks or start the kid. I mean he is only 25 years old and still has franchise QB written all over him. Teddy showed his veteran presence and playmaking ability. The same pressure was all over him but he made it happen down the field and Darnold didn’t. Seemed like they opened up the playbook more for Bridgewater. Darnold needs to watch and learn because that’s where he wants to be but even better.
I wouldn’t care if they started Bridgewater or Darnold but it appears pretty clear to me that McCown doesn’t need to be on the field.

Holy yawn fest.....these pre-season games are torture.
Its sucks to have a dilemma. We have waited so long for one QB and now have two. Cant have both I don't think. Need to get something for the asset that we have even if we love having that asset.
Agreed. I was thinking 2-3 second rounders also but your probably right. The Vikings gave up a first for Bradford when Bridgewater got hurt. So why can’t we get one???
And they got a 4th also.
Yeah, the Jets traded up for Darnold and he’s showing he’s ready. He’s not as good as Bridgewater but close enough. Either start Bridgewater or get the first rounder for him and move on. We all know McCown can be a excellent backup so we gotta trade Bridgewater.
