Well the Deshaun Watson deal sank that team.
Stefanski has done a decent job with what He had after Watson got snakebit.
If they would have kept Flacco they would have been a middle of the pack team maybe on the fringe of playoff contention.
With Flacco.
But Stefanskis wanted Watson. He is tied to his failure. And what about the last 2, 3 win seasons with a very good roster?
We have seen his inability to judge the or develop a QB.( He's been through what 13 or 14 starting QBs in 5 seasons) He hasn't been able to assemble and keep a staff especially OCs. He wants the same offense our current staff, running heavy, short passing QB friendly. At least this staff is doing it based on the situation and not locked to it. A 44-53 record as HC.
Flacco was terrible this season for the Browns. 1-3 record. 57 % completion rate and 2 tds to 8 interceptions. Definitely not playoff contention.
Don't think Stefanski is worth considering.
I think he would be a great OC on a team with an established QB but definitely not a quality HC on a rebuilding team.
