I'm honestly surprised that this series hasnt been as close. I expected a hungry Cavs team after last season's debacle.

I'm really not that surprised. IMO the west is light years better than the east. I watched both conferences in the playoffs and the west was clearly the more dominant conference. I honestly believe OKC or the Spurs would have beaten Cleveland too. Despite having LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, I don't see Cleveland as anything more than the forth best team in the NBA, and the three above them are all in the west.

That said, the scary thing for Cleveland is that Curry and Thompson have not really GONE OFF in this series yet, and you know that they will. They are basically killing Cleveland with their bench and their depth. Whats gonna happen when Curry and Thompson explode, and I'm betting one or both of them will this week in Cleveland.

I think Golden State gets a split in Cleveland, then comes home and wins it in five.

BTW I'm tired of the analysts (Stephen A. Smith etc.) talking about how bad Cleveland has been in this series and criticizing LeBron James. HELLO!!!! Golden State did win 73 Games this year, an NBA record, and that didn't happen by accident. Cleveland is just getting smoked by a GREAT TEAM, one of the greatest teams in NBA history!

Focusing on Cleveland is burying the lead.

The lead story here is Golden State's greatness, not Cleveland's futility.

damn sure wasn't an accident.. neither is the warriors getting back on the good foot after the thunder gave them all they wanted.. in my book anyway..

forget the media hammer, what about james well on his way (at least to this point down 0-2) continuing to losing more finals than winning them?? are we ever going to see james will a team to a championship?? or will he forever be this force of nature without the killer instinct guys like jordan, bryant, bird & magic undeniably had??

i honestly believe curry is going to be remembered as being in the class of guys i just named & james will not..

I don't know much about basketball, but I saw Game 7 Golden State against OKC, and man, was that Golden State team seriously impressive. It would be no shame to lose to that team, they are great. I always thought basketball sucked and was boring, but it turns out that it's just the Knicks that suck.

Still love baseball the most, though!

Whoever said Curry is better than LeBron?? You are WRONG!!
I still think he's better, but Curry and Thompson picked a bad time to go ice cold. If either one of them had their normal shooting nights in Game 7, nothing spectacular, just their normal shooting nights, they would have won that game easily. It didn't even have to be both of them, JUST ONE, but they both had poor shooting nights and thats why they got beat.

My issue with Curry is he is limited physically. He is a jump shooter. LeBron can dominate all categories every night if he wanted to. Curry goes cold and he has nothing else to offer.

When you consider half the game is played on defense, the argument becomes ridiculous. Curry shoots and handles the ball as well as an anyone who ever played, but his game ends there. Lebron is one of the most complete players ever. And he is the only great player in the league who could have won a championship with this Cleveland roster. Amazing

You must be kidding. That's like arguing Reggie miller was better than Jordan.

LeBron is the first person in nba history to lead in all major categories scoring, assists, rebounds, steals and more.
He is the most complete player ever. He can take a game over on offense and defense, and he prefers to play point and distribute the ball. He's the best individual player, and he insists on winning as a team.

Last year he was a beast in the finals because he had zero talent to distribute the ball to.

would you argue that james is better than jordan??
They are completely different, it's like arguing if a jet is better than a Ferrari.
Jordan also has completed his career, LeBron is entering his prime. I think comparing them is silly. Jordan is the greatest until he's dethroned, but LeBron is making a strong push. What LeBron has done is nothing short of domination.

He's in Cleveland, they're a playoff team. He leaves, Cleveland is in the bottom 3. His new team goes to 4 straight finals and wins 2, but should have won 3.
He comes back to Cleveland, a lottery team, and goes to 2 straight finals again, and wins 1 more title, dethroned the league mvp, and one hell of a team. Take LeBron off the Cavs and they have 20-25 wins this year.

And no matter what I say, someone will disagree.

Steph had a great year and he's mvp, people celebrate. LeBron had a great year, won the title and finals mvp,and the topic is, he's not Jordan?

How about we appreciate what amazing players these guys are?

Not specific to someone here, you just hear these dumb arguments everywhere.

curry is already the best shooter the world has ever seen.. he had a chance to start building on something really special up 3-1 but he didn't..

james has the most complete game the world has ever seen & is an absolute force of nature!! could jordan have won a championship if this was his team?? perhaps.. perhaps not.. but this series wasn't about jordan, it was about james being down 1-3 to a 73 win team & willing the cavaliers to the championship.. epic.. much respect.....
